- 2. What is Censorship? Censorship is the act of deleting or banning certain parts of books, movies or music or any other form of entertainment material as the content within them may be too explicit or illegal to air.
- 3. Eminem- Just lose it: This video was banned from TV in 2004 after the video mocked Michael Jackson noseless in bed full of children whilst he was facing charges for child molestation. Vanilla Ice, PeeWee Herman and Madonna are also seen to be mocked in the video. As a result, Black Entertainment Television decided to ban the video.
- 4. Madonna- What it feels like for a girl: This video was produced in 2001 by Madonna’s husband Guy Ritchie and features the “Vogue” girl living on the edge. MTV and VH1 didn’t approve of a fictional crime spree that ends in a suicidal bang and found it inappropriate for viewing of certain ages.
- 5. Enrique Iglesias- Sad Eyes: This video was banned from public viewing on television as it makes references to picking up prostitutes, calling sex chat lines, pole climbing and masturbation and was therefore deemed unsuitable.
- 6. Nicki Minaj- Stupid Hoe: Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe" music video was banned after the amount of explicit language and the nature of the video made it hard to watch without it being inappropriate.
- 7. Robbie Williams- Rock DJ: This video was banned in the Dominican Republic after allegations of satanism. In the UK, the video was only shown late at night with Top of the Pops forced to screen an edited version. The video features the star stripping naked before peeling of his skin and throwing it against a wall.
