Style sheet
I chose these colours for my front page cover because they are very dark and I think
that they really relate to the type of genre the magazine is. The colour black will be
as rectangles at the top and the bottom of the page. The text will be white
contrasting with the black otherwise how would you be able to read it. These
colours inspired me because they are really magazine type colours. The blue will be
my background and the red will be the colour of my text.
These are the choices of fonts that I have to choose from for the
headline of the magazine. This has to be very appealing and
stand out because it is the part which will draw the reader in too
buy so it will have to be interesting in looks. I got these fonts
from DaFont and these are recommended ones which are from
the comic fonts. These inspired me too actually use this font
which really suits the genre of game it is and what is included so
the audience can then tell what the games about just by seeing
the font.
white
These layouts of front pages are included because
then I could see what my magazine might look like.
These actually inspired me to use less things on the
front cover and just make it more simple looking this
will generally be more appealing to the audience.
The backgrounds are included in my style sheet because
I really like the layout of them and I really want a design
like this which isn't too simple or complex but still looks
appealing to the audience. This inspired me to use actual
game as a background for my final magazine.

The background I used is an image
of a game using very bright colours.
I chose this because it makes the
magazine easy to understand and
not cramped with information. The
title of the game goes over this
explaining to the audience what
type of magazine they are buying
and some of the content that will
be included.
The title I have used in the layout is
a comic font style which tells people
it is a magazine. The colour I would
choose for the font is white to make
it stand out and pop in the centre of
a background creating contrast.
All the writing is included, stating
what is inside the magazine and the
special offers making the audience
want to buy this just for these. I will
definitely include the circle with the
offer on in my final product.

The main image I used was a picture
of a character from a game I them
also included the title of this game.
This is easily understandable for the
audience as well as it is a very popular
brand making it a more popular
magazine.
The title I have used in the layout is
a comic font style which tells people
it is a magazine. The colour I would
choose for the font is white to make
it stand out and pop in the centre of
a background creating contrast. The
black effect going along the top of
the letters makes it more
interesting.
The background I used was a white
opaque mountain just like the
background design on my style
sheet. I chose these because it
makes the images in the foreground
stand out on the poster.

Potential Issue Solution
COPYRIGHT Do not get copyright protected images or any
images that are branded with a name or logo.
The computer could crash whilst I am working
on it.
Always remember to save regularly so you don’t
loose to much of your work.
The quality of the images might become bad as
I put them on my magazine or I change the size
of the image.
If they do become bad quality make the images
smaller in size so it isn't blurred or just find a
image that isn't very blurry and suits your cover.
The design for the double page may be out of
line with the images and the text.
use the ruler guidelines and zoom in to check
that all the text and images are in line with one
another.
The computer that I am working on may not be
compatible with Photoshop like my pc at home.
I could either complete something else in the
mean time on that computer for example I
could start writing some of my PowerPoint's up,
or log onto a different computer if at college in
the room or at the learning centre.
Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
You may create Strain on your eyes when using the
computer not allowing you too be able to see properly.
Take regular breaks to stop your eyes being damaged
or you can turn down the brightness of the screen.
you can get a painful cramp in your neck making it
harder for you to continue on working.
You can adjust your chair so you are at the height in
level with the screen and then you can tilt the screen
up or down until it suits the height the your at.
Back pain from sitting down making it harder for you
to continue on working.
Take regular breaks or get an adjustable chair which
has a comfortable and soft back and seating or you
could sit on a pillow/cushion.
Don’t spill food and drink on the computer because it
disrupts your area and can potentially break your
computer.
Take regular breaks so can eat and drink outside the
room but mainly you should not bring these in
because of the damage that they can cause.
There should be no trailing wires because you could
trip or unplug a computer and loose all of the work
that you have just done.
All of the wires should be fastened down tight and not
loose, if they are you can tape them down or tie them
all together and make sure they are out of the way
behind the computer.
electrical sockets must not be overloaded because it
could overload the computer and all your work will go.
Make sure that the plugs are not loose and you only
have one per socket for one computer keeping
electricity good with not too much power in one.
