- 3. Your Urgency and Need! We all need Jesus the Savior. Romans 3:23; 6:23; Luke 2:11 Jesus is the only way to heaven! Jn. 14:6; Jn. 6:68; 1 Jn. 5:20 We must then, leave the sinful life and follow Jesus Christ the righteous every day. 1 Jn. 2:15-17, 1-2; Luke 9:23
- 4. Because of the Need and Urgency… Be watchful! So that we ourselves will be ready. 1 John 2:28 No man knows the day or hour when Christ is coming back for Judgment. Mark 13:32, 37 Like Job we look for it in faith! Job 19:25-27 We ought to look forward to the resurrection! 1 Corinthians 6:14; Romans 8:11
- 5. You Can Change Your Life Through Christ! Anything that needs to be done to live for God, Jesus power will help you do it. Philippians 4:13; Ephesians 3:20 We have the resurrected mindset to cling to. Col. 3:1-2; Phil. 4:4,8 This new repentant life will convert us into what we need to be in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17
- 6. Because of the Need for Change… We will be motivated to work! Because of the hope of eternal life we will strive to live a pure and blameless life. 1 John 3:3; Phil. 2:13-16a We will be motivated to encourage. This hope is for our encouragement. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
- 7. The Right Determination Our life remembers and proclaims Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Cor. 2:2 We’re determined to help others when we can. Acts 11:29; Gal. 6:10 Be determined to ask questions when we don’t know the answers. Acts 15:2; Mt. 7:7
- 8. The Right Determination Determined to keep God’s commands regardless of the cost. Acts 5:29; Mk.10:28-30; Jn. 14:15 Determined to keep your eyes on the prize! Remembering Jesus… Hebrews 12:2 Remembering the call to heaven. Phil. 3:13-14,20 Longing for the eternal home… 1 Peter 1:3-5
