Sergey Brin is a Russian-American computer scientist and internet entrepreneur who co-founded Google with Larry Page. He was born in Moscow to Jewish parents who later emigrated to the United States. He received degrees from the University of Maryland and a PhD from Stanford University where he met Larry Page and they began working on their search engine technology that would later become Google. Brin's vision is to make all of the world's information accessible and useful, and through Google and other companies he founded like 23andMe, he is working to solve problems in areas like energy, climate change, and transportation.
