ParasoftServiceVirtualizationAPITestingIgnisSonya S
Ignis Asset Management implemented Parasoft's API testing and service virtualization solutions to automate testing and replace manual testing processes that took 10 man-days. This allowed Ignis to test applications independently and simulate interactions with third parties. The solutions reduced testing time for regression tests from 10 days to half a day, a 20x reduction. Parasoft helped Ignis test in parallel with agile development without needing additional test environments.
Maturing your path toward DevOps with Continuous TestingPerfecto Mobile
nterest in Continuous Testing has been growing for 5 years now—yet the more we talk about it, the more polarized the discussion becomes. Complicating the conversation is the fact that Agile and DevOps are both driving the need for Continuous Testing, but both require distinctly different things from a quality perspective.
Join me for a lively discussion on what’s really required for Continuous Testing in the context of Agile and DevOps. Join Eran Kinsbruner, author of Continuous Testing for DevOps Professionals, as he explores:
How DevOps and Agile change the game for testing
Which elements of Continuous Testing are absolutely essential for Agile and DevOps
The top myths, misconceptions, and mistakes surrounding Continuous Testing
Strategies for measuring Continuous Testing progress and ROI
Now-a-days the world of testing has shifted towards a Continuous Testing model. With increasing digital transformation, Agile & DevOps principles, the need to scale up quality initiatives becomes inevitable. Moreover, with increasing complexity and continuous integration cycles, the frequency of tests to release apps in a shorter time frame with continuous testing becomes the need of the hour to match the speed of Agile & DevOps.
Fast feedback loops and immediate responses allow businesses to adapt to changes in the market quicker than ever before. This is made possible with automation and continuous testing. But how do you achieve continuous testing?
In this, our specialist Sushma Nayak will discuss the present-day best practices in test automation at Knoldus and will examine the key testing trends that focus on the adoption of Continuous Delivery and the evolution of test automation in the coming year.

Leveraging Visual Testing with Your Functional TestsTEST Huddle
Designing and implementing (or selecting) the right automation strategy, for functional testing, with visual testing, can help your project with greater test coverage while improving test scalability
Packaged enterprise apps are different from custom apps, and that means testing has to be different too. During this webinar we discussed these differences and provided strategies for supporting every aspect of implementing, testing, and running large enterprise applications.
The document discusses the process of architecture and what it takes to be an architect. It involves identifying business goals, gathering requirements from stakeholders, making design decisions, documenting the architecture, and communicating design decisions. Key aspects of architecture include styles/patterns, reference architectures, and creating views like context, component, and deployment diagrams. The architect must understand business goals, requirements, and make design choices to achieve them while documenting decisions in an architecture log.
The document discusses new features and improvements in Visual Studio 2013 including a connected IDE, enhanced editor productivity, improved performance and debugging tools, and support for .NET 4.5.1. Specific enhancements mentioned are improved icons, auto brace completion, enhanced scrollbars, peek definition, code map improvements, solution load speed improvements, and cancelable symbol loading. The document also provides links for learning more about what's new in Visual Studio 2013.
Transforming software development in a world of devices and services. This deck was originally presented by S. Somasegar, Scott Guthrie, and Brian Harry at the Visual Studio 2013 product launch. See how Visual Studio and Windows Azure support you in the transformational journey of software development driven by the new world of devices and services, and enable you to accelerate the delivery cadence of software projects required in today's changing environment.
This document summarizes Microsoft's approach to ASP.NET and related technologies. It discusses continuous innovation through six-month release cycles. It promotes a unified experience across ASP.NET frameworks like Web Forms, MVC, and Web API. New features include improved scaffolding, authentication, and a HTML editor. OWIN decouples frameworks from servers. Web API 2 adds attribute routing and OData support. SignalR enables real-time web functionality. Contributions to open source components are accepted.
The document discusses various improvements and new features in Visual Studio including a more connected IDE that allows signing in with a Microsoft account and synchronizing settings across devices. The IDE performance has been improved in areas like solution load time, IDE startup, and responsiveness. New and updated features include improved icons, auto brace completion, enhanced scrollbars, peek functionality, and the ability to see return values in the debugger for .NET projects. Performance monitoring and debugging tools are more integrated and symbolic debugging has been enhanced.
What's new in ALM using Visual Studio 2013 and Team Foundation ServiceMicrosoft Visual Studio
The document discusses application lifecycle trends, including frequent updates for on-premises products and 3-week sprints for Visual Studio Online. It also describes a continuous deployment solution for .NET teams that automates deployments from development to production using Release Management Client and Server with full traceability. The solution supports configuration-based deployments across environments.
One ASP.NET provides a unified framework for building web applications using Web Forms, MVC, Web API, and SignalR. It features continuous innovation with new releases every 6 months. Developers can use any ASP.NET technology and add frameworks to projects freely. New features include improved scaffolding, Bootstrap integration, ASP.NET Identity, HTML editing and more. Web API 2 and SignalR 2.0 are decoupled from servers using OWIN. Web API supports attribute routing, CORS, and integrates with OData. Azure provides sandbox environments for application development and testing in the cloud.
Modern application lifecycle management (ALM) practices can help accelerate business agility by enabling value delivery through agility, quality, and scale. These practices involve planning with business stakeholders and product owners, developing and testing with developers and testers, releasing working software, and monitoring and learning from operations. Implementing the right people, processes, and tools at each stage of plan, develop, release, and operate allows organizations to more quickly plan, develop high quality software, release at scale, and continuously improve based on operational insights.
AI Changes Everything – Talk at Cardiff Metropolitan University, 29th April 2...Alan Dix
Talk at the final event of Data Fusion Dynamics: A Collaborative UK-Saudi Initiative in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence funded by the British Council UK-Saudi Challenge Fund 2024, Cardiff Metropolitan University, 29th April 2025

Is AI just another technology, or does it fundamentally change the way we live and think?
Every technology has a direct impact with micro-ethical consequences, some good, some bad. However more profound are the ways in which some technologies reshape the very fabric of society with macro-ethical impacts. The invention of the stirrup revolutionised mounted combat, but as a side effect gave rise to the feudal system, which still shapes politics today. The internal combustion engine offers personal freedom and creates pollution, but has also transformed the nature of urban planning and international trade. When we look at AI the micro-ethical issues, such as bias, are most obvious, but the macro-ethical challenges may be greater.
At a micro-ethical level AI has the potential to deepen social, ethnic and gender bias, issues I have warned about since the early 1990s! It is also being used increasingly on the battlefield. However, it also offers amazing opportunities in health and educations, as the recent Nobel prizes for the developers of AlphaFold illustrate. More radically, the need to encode ethics acts as a mirror to surface essential ethical problems and conflicts.
At the macro-ethical level, by the early 2000s digital technology had already begun to undermine sovereignty (e.g. gambling), market economics (through network effects and emergent monopolies), and the very meaning of money. Modern AI is the child of big data, big computation and ultimately big business, intensifying the inherent tendency of digital technology to concentrate power. AI is already unravelling the fundamentals of the social, political and economic world around us, but this is a world that needs radical reimagining to overcome the global environmental and human challenges that confront us. Our challenge is whether to let the threads fall as they may, or to use them to weave a better future.
