Christ holds the threefold office of prophet, priest, and king. As prophet, he preached personally during his life on earth and still proclaims himself through the preached gospel. As priest, he fulfilled the law perfectly, sacrificed himself for our sins, and intercedes for us with God. As king, he rules over all creation and brings believers into his kingdom.
