Laptop Benchmark Report
(June 2025)
Based on tests across 100+ laptops
India’s #1 Gadget Discovery Site
Objective of the report
• This report was created to simplify laptop buying decisions by turning raw benchmark
data, already used in 91mobiles’ in-depth laptop reviews, into an easy-to-understand,
comparative format.
• It highlights the top-performing laptops across price segments and categories, using a
consistent set of synthetic benchmarks to deliver clear, data-backed insights.
• For brands, this report serves as a valuable resource to get a clear lay of the land —
showing how their devices compare against others across performance, battery life, and
value in their respective segments.
• If you're a brand and feel your latest models should have been featured, please reach out
to us at sameer@91mobiles.com — we’d be happy to test and include them in future
editions.
Benchmarks and testing methodology
We tested each laptop using standardised performance benchmarks
Category Tools and metrics
CPU Cinebench R23, R24, Geekbench 6
GPU 3DMark (Time Spy, Fire Strike, Night Raid), Geekbench 6
Storage CrystalDiskMark (Sequential Read/Write)
Battery PCMark 10 Battery Video Loop
Games
Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5, Valorant, Alan Wake 2, GTA V (Ultra
settings, MUX enabled)
Testing conditions:
• Power Profile: Performance Mode
• Fan Speed: Max / Turbo
• Power Supply: Plugged In
• GPU Mode: Dedicated (MUX enabled where supported)
• Battery Test: Balanced power mode with screen brightness set to 80%
Note:
• All benchmarks were conducted under consistent test conditions to ensure fair
comparison across devices. For full benchmark data and configuration details, please
visit here.
• Benchmark results reflect game versions, software builds, and driver updates available
at the time of testing, and may vary with future updates.
• Results reflect the specific unit tested. Variants with different configurations (RAM, SSD
type, display resolution) may yield different performance.
• Battery runtime is measured using a standard video playback test. Actual usage time will
vary depending on workload and settings.
Benchmarks and testing methodology (contd.)
We used standardised conditions for fair and consistent testing
• Each benchmark chart has the top 5 laptops, ranked purely on their synthetic benchmark
scores — with no editorial input involved.
• At the end of every segment, we’ve picked 3 overall recommendations:
• Best Performer: Based on benchmark consistency and top scores.
• Editorial Picks (2): While benchmarks offer objective data, they don’t always tell the full
story, which is why editorial insight plays a role in final recommendations. We also go
beyond benchmarks with additional factors like display quality, form factor, usability, and
real-world experience to select these.
• Since only the top 5 are shown per test, some well-performing laptops may not appear in
every chart.
To view the complete dataset and all benchmark scores, see here.
How to read this report
Top picks across categories are based on benchmarks, and supplemented
with editorial insight
Disclaimers
• Only laptops officially sent to 91mobiles for review were considered. The report does not
account for every available model in the market.
• Gaming FPS data represents averages recorded with all settings set to Ultra at native
resolution. Laptops with lower-resolution displays (e.g. FHD) may show higher FPS than
more premium devices with QHD or 1600p panels, due to lower GPU load.
• As of this edition, all laptops tested were launched before May 2025. While the NVIDIA
RTX 50-series has launched, these models have not been included to give all brands a
fair opportunity to send updated devices for testing.

GTA V benchmark for users who do casual gaming on the side
While non-gaming laptops aren’t meant for hard-core gaming, they can be a good
option for casual gamers. Hence, we tested them with GTA V. It’s a lightweight,
well-optimised title that serves as an indicator of a laptop’s casual gaming
capability.

Key takeaways
Key insights
We uncovered some interesting trends and takeaways
• Non-gaming laptops are becoming more balanced: Many mid-range non-gaming
laptops now offer strong productivity performance without compromising battery life or
portability, making them ideal for students and professionals.
• Battery life varies widely across segments: Laptops under ₹50K showed the most
variance in battery performance, while premium non-gaming laptops above ₹1.5L
maintained better battery consistency due to optimizations and larger capacity
batteries.
• SSD speeds are often overlooked: Several budget and mid-range laptops shipped
with slower SSDs, significantly affecting real-world performance despite decent
CPU/GPU scores. Buyers should consider storage speed, not just capacity
Key insights (contd.)
We uncovered some interesting trends and takeaways
• Consistency beats peaks: Laptops that ranked among the top in multiple
benchmarks — even if not #1 in any single test — often proved to be the best all-
rounders in real-world usage.
• Best performers aren’t always the most expensive: Some laptops priced between
₹70K–₹1.2L offered performance rivaling ₹2L+ models, proving that buyers don’t
always need to go ultra-premium for flagship-level performance.
• Creators need more than just CPU power: Top picks for productivity were laptops
with a strong balance of CPU, GPU, display quality, and thermal efficiency — not just
raw scores.
• Integrated GPUs have come a long way: In the non-gaming segment, integrated
GPUs like Intel Iris Xe and AMD Radeon 700M series held their own in light gaming
and creative workloads, making them solid options for budget-conscious users.

91Mobiles Laptop Benchmark Report - May 2025.pdf

  • 1. Laptop Benchmark Report (June 2025) Based on tests across 100+ laptops India’s #1 Gadget Discovery Site
  • 2. Objective of the report • This report was created to simplify laptop buying decisions by turning raw benchmark data, already used in 91mobiles’ in-depth laptop reviews, into an easy-to-understand, comparative format. • It highlights the top-performing laptops across price segments and categories, using a consistent set of synthetic benchmarks to deliver clear, data-backed insights. • For brands, this report serves as a valuable resource to get a clear lay of the land — showing how their devices compare against others across performance, battery life, and value in their respective segments. • If you're a brand and feel your latest models should have been featured, please reach out to us at [email protected] — we’d be happy to test and include them in future editions.
  • 3. Benchmarks and testing methodology We tested each laptop using standardised performance benchmarks Category Tools and metrics CPU Cinebench R23, R24, Geekbench 6 GPU 3DMark (Time Spy, Fire Strike, Night Raid), Geekbench 6 Storage CrystalDiskMark (Sequential Read/Write) Battery PCMark 10 Battery Video Loop Games Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5, Valorant, Alan Wake 2, GTA V (Ultra settings, MUX enabled)
  • 4. Testing conditions: • Power Profile: Performance Mode • Fan Speed: Max / Turbo • Power Supply: Plugged In • GPU Mode: Dedicated (MUX enabled where supported) • Battery Test: Balanced power mode with screen brightness set to 80% Note: • All benchmarks were conducted under consistent test conditions to ensure fair comparison across devices. For full benchmark data and configuration details, please visit here. • Benchmark results reflect game versions, software builds, and driver updates available at the time of testing, and may vary with future updates. • Results reflect the specific unit tested. Variants with different configurations (RAM, SSD type, display resolution) may yield different performance. • Battery runtime is measured using a standard video playback test. Actual usage time will vary depending on workload and settings. Benchmarks and testing methodology (contd.) We used standardised conditions for fair and consistent testing
  • 5. • Each benchmark chart has the top 5 laptops, ranked purely on their synthetic benchmark scores — with no editorial input involved. • At the end of every segment, we’ve picked 3 overall recommendations: • Best Performer: Based on benchmark consistency and top scores. • Editorial Picks (2): While benchmarks offer objective data, they don’t always tell the full story, which is why editorial insight plays a role in final recommendations. We also go beyond benchmarks with additional factors like display quality, form factor, usability, and real-world experience to select these. • Since only the top 5 are shown per test, some well-performing laptops may not appear in every chart. To view the complete dataset and all benchmark scores, see here. How to read this report Top picks across categories are based on benchmarks, and supplemented with editorial insight
  • 6. Disclaimers • Only laptops officially sent to 91mobiles for review were considered. The report does not account for every available model in the market. • Gaming FPS data represents averages recorded with all settings set to Ultra at native resolution. Laptops with lower-resolution displays (e.g. FHD) may show higher FPS than more premium devices with QHD or 1600p panels, due to lower GPU load. • As of this edition, all laptops tested were launched before May 2025. While the NVIDIA RTX 50-series has launched, these models have not been included to give all brands a fair opportunity to send updated devices for testing.
  • 7. Laptops tested by 91mobiles: An overview January 2023 - May 2025

  • 132. Key insights (contd.) We uncovered some interesting trends and takeaways • Consistency beats peaks: Laptops that ranked among the top in multiple benchmarks — even if not #1 in any single test — often proved to be the best all- rounders in real-world usage. • Best performers aren’t always the most expensive: Some laptops priced between ₹70K–₹1.2L offered performance rivaling ₹2L+ models, proving that buyers don’t always need to go ultra-premium for flagship-level performance. • Creators need more than just CPU power: Top picks for productivity were laptops with a strong balance of CPU, GPU, display quality, and thermal efficiency — not just raw scores. • Integrated GPUs have come a long way: In the non-gaming segment, integrated GPUs like Intel Iris Xe and AMD Radeon 700M series held their own in light gaming and creative workloads, making them solid options for budget-conscious users.
