- 2. Avantage Overview About ActiveModeler Avantage ActiveModeler Avantage is a new generation standards-oriented BPM (Business Process Modeling) platform. The platform provides BPMN 1.1 compliant process diagram editing, multiple projects, and a .NET process modeling framework. The tool that was designed with extensibility in mind. You can add new features simply by installing a plugin, for example Web Export, Metrics (for cost reduction analysis) or Content Management.
- 3. Avantage Overview Key Features and benefits Modeling Avantage provides a hierarchical company structure for Entities, Departments and roles. You can map BPMN container entities like Pools and Swimlanes to the organization. Organization Structure Define categories which can then be associated to objects in a process model. Includes a category editor. Each category can have its own color and labels Model Categories A hierarchical process model editor/browser makes it easy to manage both small and large projects. Process Navigator Features and functionality can be added to the basic Avantage Platform software simply by installing additional plugins. Plugin based Avantage lets you organize your work into projects. Project oriented You can create BPMN 1.1 compliant process diagrams. The data is stored in an XML based file structure. Workflow Add documentation to the process objects via user defined templates. Create a full process documentation Word document for business requirements, functional specifications, project initiation document etc. Content Management Add powerful SOX instrumentation to the process model. Risk control matrix and RACI reporting is provided. SOX Module The CVS module allows multiple people to work on a project with full update control and version history. Version History Export your process model to the Web to create online process manuals. Just a browser is needed to view the model. You can also use your own HTML template for the export (to add company logo, version information etc. Web Export The Metrics plugin allows you to add powerful numerical and cost analytics to your BPMN process. - 5. Avantage Overview Getting Started When you open Avantage you will see the following:
- 6. Avantage Overview To get started quickly you can select “Create a new ActiveModeler Avantage BPMN diagram”. This will create a project and process model automatically as we will see.
