Kodiyala is a village known for its rich weaving heritage, particularly for weaving garments for royal families, including those of Tippu Sultan. The village is home to around 250 families from the Padmashali community, with most households involved in various forms of weaving, producing highly sought-after sarees and dhotis. Despite the decline in handloom use, traditional practices continue, with local markets benefitting from the direct sale of products from weavers to customers.
