Enabling Anonymous Access in SharePoint isn’t just a matter of flipping a switch in IIS manager. Anonymous Access must be enabled in IIS and then configured in SharePoint. But there are also situations where this basic configuration isn't sufficient. In this talk we’ll review how to enable and configure anonymous access for SharePoint web sites, lists, and libraries. Then we'll turn our attention to strategies that can be used overcome specific problems with SharePoint anonymous access. We'll demonstrate solutions and workarounds for questions like:
1) How do you require authentication for some items while maintaining anonymous access for the rest?
2) What content from a personal MySite can be accessed via anonymous access?
3) How do you enable anonymous responses to a discussion list?
4) Can BLOGS and Wiki sites be used in an anonymous access site collection?

Do You Want To Build Simple Webdynpro ABAP Application? Here It Is?Anjali Rao
Webdynpro ABAP is a standard UI technology for developing web applications in the ABAP environment. It uses an MVC architecture with models to fetch data, views to display the UI, and controllers to connect models and views. The main differences between ABAP Webdynpro and Java Webdynpro are that ABAP Webdynpro uses ABAP coding to access data directly while Java Webdynpro uses RFCs or web services, and the ABAP code is stored centrally on the server. Webdynpro applications are composed of components, views, and contexts to transport data. Navigation between views is established through links and plugs.

Data Con LA 2018 - Standing on shoulders of giants by Sooraj AkkammadamData Con LA
Standing on shoulder of giants building Core Digital Media's data platform using Big Data technologies by Sooraj Akkammadam, ETL Architect, Core Digital Media
Core Digital Media is one of the leading advertisers in the online space. We are responsible for about a fifth of the ads a person sees online on a day to day basis. This is accomplished by our Marketing team, who continues to find performance wins by leveraging proprietary algorithms, deep learning models and advanced analytics to optimize the Ad spend. All these frameworks rely on the performance data available in the Core Digital Media’s Enterprise Data Warehouse - EDW to make decisions. The performance data is collected from a multitude of marketing channels like Social - Facebook, Search - Google, Content - Taboola, Media, Affiliate and Retention and integrated into EDW. Timely and consistent availability of data in EDW is extremely critical for marketing optimization. This talk details how we migrated our Marketing data loads from a legacy ETL platform to a data infrastructure built around Apache Kafka and Apache Spark, using Python and Scala. This migration not only lead to a reduction in data availability times from an average of 60+ minutes to 2 mins but also we are able to load 24*7 into the EDW. As a part of the talk we will talk about why we chose Kafka and Spark Structured streaming for this, what were some of the challenges we faced and also some of the best practices to follow for implementing data streaming architectures.

The document discusses using PowerPoint and OOXML as an enterprise reporting framework. It presents a case study of a client that generated hundreds of PowerPoint presentations with over 400 slides four times a year from imported data. The solution developed leveraged OOXML and PowerPoint to dynamically generate the presentations by substituting data in templates on the fly, eliminating manual import and copy/paste steps. It provided a rules engine to administer substitution rules and scenarios. The solution phases, service workflows, and user experience are described at a high level.
FrontPage 2002 allows users to quickly create websites with rich graphics and dynamic content. It is easy for novices to use yet also fast for experienced developers. New features include improved interface, photo gallery, automatic web content, and reporting tools. FrontPage 2002 also enhances collaboration, e-commerce functionality, and remote work capabilities. It provides improved site management and publishing controls.
Functional consultants need to understand SAP interfaces to provide inputs to technical teams. An interface connects two systems to transfer business data. There are two main types of interfaces in SAP - IDOC and FILE. IDOC uses ALE or EDI to transfer data between SAP and other systems in a standard format. FILE transfers large amounts of data through files, either with or without PI intervention. Functional consultants specify requirements like file format, field mappings, and frequency to technical teams. They also explain transformations between source and target systems. Understanding interfaces helps functional consultants coordinate requirements for data exchange between systems.
