This case study describes how an infrastructure support team at a large company applied lean agile and Kanban principles after previously using Scrum. The team found Scrum sprints did not work well for their event-driven, reactive support work. Kanban allowed them to focus on the highest priority issues each day without rigid sprints. They continued using other Scrum practices like daily standups, retrospectives and a product backlog to set priorities. This hybrid approach was better suited to their support work compared to a strict Scrum process.
