The study conducted in Kisii, Kenya, analyzes the incidence and causes of road traffic accidents (RTAs), which are a growing public health concern and a significant cause of mortality, especially among young males. It identifies key factors contributing to RTAs, including human errors, poor road conditions, and vehicle defects, while highlighting the substantial economic impact on the country. The findings suggest that improved road design, maintenance, and better policing are necessary to mitigate the escalating trend of RTAs.
