Section 9 discusses filling a vacancy in the office of Vice President by allowing the President to nominate a replacement from among members of Congress, subject to majority approval by both houses.
Section 10 requires Congress to convene within 7 days of a vacancy in both the President and Vice President offices in order to enact a law for a special election between 45-60 days later, unless the vacancy occurs within 18 months of a presidential election.
Section 13 prohibits the President, Vice President, Cabinet members, and their deputies from holding any other jobs or being financially interested in contracts during their terms, and requires them to avoid conflicts of interest.
