Casa Ellul is the only luxury hotel inside the bas:on walls of
Valle.a. It is right in the middle of Malta’s :ny historic
capital, close to all the main sites, restaurants and public
transport. The building is a historic limestone Valle.a
townhouse, the interior a mix of original features and ultra-
modern design. A changing display of contemporary art
graces the entrance hall while up the original marble-ﬂoored
staircase, the eight bedroom rooms combine 21st-century
bathrooms with glass and white wrought-iron screens with
original stone windows and wooden balconies. All the rooms
are described as suites though they vary from single large
open-plan spaces to duplexes. Most have been created
within the original house but a couple are modern
extensions, including the penthouse.

Valle.a is an ever-evolving city that, whilst being grounded in years of
history, truly a.empts to keep up with the :mes without losing its
authen:city and personality. Casa Ellul believes that being located in
Valle.a oﬀers guests and visitors an upgrade to their holiday that one
cannot get from staying in just any other loca:on. There are many
places to visit all over Malta, but waking and sleeping in Valle.a makes
you privy to be part of the city life .

I was involved in various areas of the hotel, I started oﬀ with minibars
tasks, checking rooms for arrivals and I was soon conﬁdent enough to
make reserva:ons and answer the telephone.
My work was very important because i had to do the ac:vi:es with
a.en:on. Every day I checked the minibar of all the suites, replenishing
them and pos:ng charges on room bills, verifying if rooms were ready
for arrivals and taking guests from check-in to their rooms. I assisted also
in preparing breakfast as well as reserva:ons.
