1. Remove bolts (1) and valve assembly (2).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
2. Remove plug (3), the O-ring seal, and spring (4).
3. Remove plug (8), the O-ring seal, shim (9), and spring (10).
4. Remove plug (7), the O-ring seal, and spool (6).
5. Remove plug (12), the O-ring seal, and spool (11).
6. Remove O-ring seals (5).

7. Remove check valve (13) and check valve (14).
8. Remove backup ring (15), O-ring seal (16), backup ring (17), and O-ring seal (18) from
check valve (13).
9. Repeat Step 8 for check valve (14).
10. Remove bolts (19) and head (20).

11. Remove bolts (21) and plate (22).
12. Remove swashplate (24) and shaft assembly (23) from plate (22).

13. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to remove bearing (25) from shaft assembly
(23).
14. Remove spring assembly (26).
15. Install Tooling (B).
16. Apply approximately 345 kPa (50 psi) of shop air pressure in order to remove piston (27).

17. Remove rotating group (28).
18. Remove pistons (29), retainer (30), and bearing (31).
19. Remove pins (32) from barrel assembly (33).

20. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press in order to remove retaining ring (34).
21. Remove washer (37), spring (36), and washer (35).

22. Remove plate (39), port plate (40), and bearing (41).
23. Remove plate (42).
24. Remove gears (43), bearings (44), gear (45), and carrier (46).

25. Remove gear (47) and carrier assembly (48).
26. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove retaining ring (49).
27. Remove plate (50), gears (51), and the bearings from carrier (52).
28. Remove ring (53), retainers (54), O-ring seal (57), and ring gear (55).
29. Use a suitable press in order to remove shaft (56) and bearing cone (58).

30. Remove bearing cup (59) and lip seal (60).
31. Remove bearing cone (63) and seal (64) from shaft (56).
32. Remove bearing cup (62) from housing (61).

1. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (62).
2. Install bearing cup (62) into housing (61).
3. Install seal (64) and bearing cone (63) onto shaft (56).
4. Lower the temperature of bearing cup (59).
5. Install lip seal (60) and bearing cup (59).

6. Install shaft (56) and bearing cone (58).
7. Install retainers (54), ring (53), ring gear (55), and O-ring seal (57).
8. Install the bearings, gears (51), and plate (50) onto carrier (52).
9. Use Tooling (D) in order to install retaining ring (49).
10. Install carrier assembly (48) and gear (47).

11. Install carrier (46), gear (45), bearings (44), and gears (43).
12. Install plate (42).
13. Install bearing (41), port plate (40), and plate (39).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily
injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure
and wear protective equipment.
14. Install washer (35), spring (36), and washer (37).
15. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press in order to install retaining ring (34).

16. Install pins (32) into barrel assembly (33).
17. Install bearing (31), retainer (30), and pistons (29).
18. Install rotating group (28).

19. Install piston (27).

22. Install bearing (25) from shaft assembly (23).
