Start By:
a. Remove the sprocket.
b. Release the hydraulic system pressure.
Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for
installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes in order to prevent fluid loss and to keep
contaminants from entering the system.

1. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).
2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the final drive and travel motor. The
weight of the final drive and travel motor is approximately 63 kg (140 lb).

3. . Disconnect hose assemblies (3). Remove bolts (4) and the final drive and travel motor (5).

A. Remove the final drive and the travel motor.

1. Remove plug (1) .
2. Remove wire (2) and cover (1A) .
3. Remove O-ring seal (3) .

4. Remove plate (4) .
5. Remove gears (5) and bearings (6) .

6. Remove gear (8) and carrier (7) .
7. Remove screws (9) , ring (10) , and gear (11) .
8. Remove gears (12) and bearings (13) .

9. Remove washers (14) .
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
10. Remove plug (15) and the O-ring seal.

11. Remove spring (16) .

19. Remove springs (28) from piston (32) .
20. Remove O-ring seal (29) , O-ring seals (30) , and O-ring seals (31) .

21. Install Tooling (A) .
22. Apply approximately 345 kPa (50 psi)of shop air pressure in order to remove piston (32) .
23. Remove O-ring seals (34) and backup rings (33) .
24. Remove barrel (36) and plate (35) .

25. Remove pins (37) .
26. Use a suitable press and Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (38) .

27. Remove washers (39) , spring (41) , and washer (40) .
28. Remove bearing (43) , pistons (42) , and retainer (44) .
29. Remove swashplate (45) .

30. Remove pistons (46) , balls (49) , shaft (47) , and bearing (48) .
31. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove bearing (48) from shaft (47) .

32. Remove springs (50) and seal (51) .
33. Remove bolts (52) .
34. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove nut (53) .
35. Remove ring gear (54) from motor housing (55) .

37. Remove Duo-Cone seal (58) and bearing (59) .
