Control Valve (Auxiliary) - Disassemble - F2 Auxiliary
Control Valve

Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
a. Remove the F2 auxiliary control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Valve
(Auxiliary) - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
NOTICE
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will
reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components.
To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always
plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover
any disassembled components and clean them properly before
assembly.
Clean the hydraulic system properly after any major component
exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any
contamination.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the
component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will prevent contamination from entering the
internal mechanism.

Solenoid Valve and Housing

1. Remove two bolts (2). Remove valve (1).
2. Remove the O-ring seal (3) from the valve housing.
3. Remove two bolts (4). Remove solenoid valve (5) from the housing. Remove fitting (6).

4. Remove O-ring seal (7) from fitting (6). Remove O-ring seal (8), (9), (10), and (11) from
solenoid valve (5).
5. Remove fitting (12), plug (13), and fitting (14).
6. Remove O-ring seal (15) from fitting (12). Remove O-ring seal (16) from fitting (14).
Remove O-ring seal (17) from plug (13).

8. Remove O-ring seal (20) from the valve housing.

10. Remove O-ring seal (24), (25), (26), and (27) from solenoid valve (22). Remove O-ring seal
(28) from fitting (23).
11. Remove fittings (29) and (32). Remove plugs (30) and (31).
12. Remove O-ring seal (33) from plug (30). Remove O-ring seal (34) from fitting (29).
Remove O-ring seal (35) from plug (31). Remove O-ring seal (36) from fitting (32).

Spool, Load Hold Check Valve, and Line Relief Valves
1. Remove O-ring seals (37), (38), (39), and (40) from the valve housing. Remove spool (41).
Remove line relief valves (42) and (44). Remove load hold check valve (43).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
2. Disassemble the load hold check valve. Remove check valve (45), spring (46), and O-ring
seal (47) from plug (48).

3. Remove the O-ring seals and backup rings from line relief valves (42) and (44). Remove O-
ring seals (49), (50), (52), (53), and (54). Remove backup rings (51) and (55).
4. Remove bolt (56) and spring (57) from the spool.

Line Relief Valve and Load Hold Check Valve
1. Remove line relief valve (1), fitting (2), and load hold check valve (3).

2. Disassemble the line relief valve.
a. Remove plug (4).
b. Remove O-ring seal (5), shims (6), and shim (7) from plug (4).
c. Remove spring (8) and valve (9) from valve body (10).
d. Remove O-ring seals (11) and (12) from valve body (10).
3. Remove O-ring seal (13) from fitting (2).

4. Disassemble the load hold check valve. Remove check valve (14), spring (5), and O-ring
seal (16) from plug (17).
5. Remove line relief valve (18).
6. Remove O-ring seals (19), (20), (22), (23), and (24) from line relief valve (18). Remove
backup rings (21) and (25) from line relief valve (18).

7. Remove line relief valve (26), plug (27), and relief valve (28).
8. Remove O-ring seals (29), (30), (32), (33), and (34) from line relief valve (26). Remove
backup rings (31) and (35) from line relief valve (26).

9. Remove O-ring seal (36) from plug (27).
10. Disassemble the relief valve.
a. Remove nut (47). Remove adjuster (37).
b. Remove O-ring seal (39) from the adjuster (37).
c. Remove spring (40) and valve (42) from holder (38). Remove holder (38).
d. Remove O-ring seal (41) from holder (38).
e. Remove valve seat (53).
f. Remove O-ring seal (52) and backup ring (51) from the valve seat (53).
g. Remove spring (54).

h. Remove valve (55) from valve body (48). Remove ring (45), collar (44), and filter
(43) from valve (55).
i. Remove O-ring seals (46), (50), and (49) from valve body (48).
2. Remove the O-ring seal (58) from the valve housing.

4. Remove O-ring seal (62) from fitting (61). Remove O-ring seal (63), (64), (65), and (66)
from solenoid valve (60).
5. Remove fitting (67), plug (68), and fitting (69).

Remove O-ring seal (72) from plug (68).
8. Remove O-ring seal (75) from the valve housing.

Remove O-ring seal (90) from plug (86). Remove O-ring seal (91) from fitting (87).
Spool and Plug
1. Remove O-ring seals (92), (93), (94), and (95) from the valve housing. Remove spool (96).

2. Remove bolt (97) and spring (98) from the spool.
3. Remove plug (99) from the valve housing.
4. Remove O-ring seal (100) from plug (99).

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned
in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts.
Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are
worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. All disassembly and all assembly procedures
must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts
covered and protected at all times.
Note: O-ring seals, gaskets, and seals should always be replaced. A used O-ring seal may not have
the same sealing properties as a new O-ring. Use Tooling (A) during the assembly procedure.
Note: Apply a light film of hydraulic oil to all components before assembly.
Spool and Plug

1. Install O-ring seal (100) on plug (99).
2. Install plug (99) in the valve housing. Tighten plug (99) to 75 ± 7 N·m (55 ± 5 lb ft).
3. Install spring (98). Apply Tooling (B) to bolt (97). Install bolt (97). Tighten bolt (97) to
50 + 10 − 0 N·m (37 + 7 − 0 lb ft).

4. Install spool (96). Install O-ring seals (92), (93), (94), and (95) in the valve housing.
1. Install O-ring seal (88) on plug (85). Install O-ring seal (89) on fitting (84). Install O-ring
seal (90) on plug (86). Install O-ring seal (91) on fitting (87).
