INTRODUCTION
TO CLOUD
COMPUTING
• WHAT?
• WHEN?
• BENEFITS
WHAT IS CLOUD COMPUTING?
• Cloud computing refers to both the
applications delivered as services over the
Internet and the hardware and systems
software in the data centers that provide these
services.
• Cloud services allow individuals and
businesses to use software and hardware that
are managed by third parties at remote
locations

WHEN YOU CONSIDERED TO BE
USING CLOUD COMPUTING
• When you store your photos online instead of on your home
computer.
• OR use webmail or a social networking site,
you are using a “cloud computing” service.
• If you are an organization, and you use an online invoicing
service instead of updating the in-house one you have been
using for many years.
that online invoicing service is a
“cloud computing” service.
BENEFITS OF USING
CLOUD COMPUTING
• Cost-There’s no need to spend big money on
hardware, software or licensing fees.
• Multi-tenancy - several customers share the same
infrastructure.
• Scalability - ”on-demand’ Provisioning of computing
resources
• Redundancy - Redundancy of sites is easier to
implement
• Accessibility - Device and location independence
• Maintenance - Upgrades are applied centrally and by

CLOUD SERVICES
CLASSIFICATION
SAAS - SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE
PAAS - PLATFORM AS A SERVICE
IAAS – INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE
SAAS - SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE
• End-user application is delivered as a service.
Platform and infrastructure is abstracted, and
can deployed and managed with less effort.
• Consumers purchase the ability to access and
use an application or service that is hosted in
the cloud.
[2
]
PAAS - PLATFORM AS A
SERVICE
• Application platform onto which custom
applications and services can be deployed. Can
be built and deployed more inexpensively,
although services need to be supported and
managed.
• Consumers purchase access to the platforms,
enabling them to deploy their own software
and applications in the cloud
[2
]
IAAS – INFRASTRUCTURE AS A
SERVICE
• Physical infrastructure is abstracted to provide
computing, storage, and networking as a
service, avoiding the expense and need for
dedicated systems.
• Consumers control and manage the systems in
terms of the operating systems, applications,
storage, and network connectivity, but do not
themselves control the cloud infrastructure.

]
CLOUD SERVICES
TYPES OF CLOUD
COMPUTING
PRIVATE CLOUD
COMMUNITY CLOUD
PUBLIC CLOUD
HYBRID CLOUD
PRIVATE CLOUD
• The cloud infrastructure has been deployed, and is
maintained and operated for a specific organization.
The operation may be in-house or with a third party
on the premises.
[2][3
]
COMMUNITY CLOUD
• The cloud infrastructure is shared among a
number of organizations with similar interests
and requirements. This may help limit the
capital expenditure costs for its establishment
as the costs are shared among the
organizations. The operation may be in-house
or with a third party on the premises.
[2][3
]
• The cloud infrastructure is available to the public on
a commercial basis by a cloud service provider.
This enables a consumer to develop and deploy a
service in the cloud with very little financial outlay
compared to the capital expenditure requirements
normally associated with other deployment options.
PUBLIC CLOUD
[2][3
]
• The cloud infrastructure consists of a number
of clouds of any type, but the clouds have the
ability through their interfaces to allow data
and/or applications to be moved from one
cloud to another. This can be a combination of
private and public clouds that support the
requirement to retain some data in an
organization, and also the need to offer
services in the cloud.

• E-LEARNING AND CLOUD
• FUTURE OF CLOUD COMPUTING IN
EDUCATION
TO IMPLEMENT
CLOUD COMPUTING IN EDUCATION
• Motivation : to motivate primary school staff
teachers and students to use this
contemporary technology
• Interaction : using interactive class materials to
make the classroom active rather that
traditional classroom
• Migration : using computers, CD’s, Audio
visual aids, Internet, animation instead of
books and blackboards
[5

E-LEARNING AND CLOUD
COMPUTING
IN EDUCATION
• When researchers writing about learning that
combined with cloud computing or internet this
idiom so called E-learning.
• The benefits of E-learning on cloud computing is a
flexible and comfortable tool used to engage
teachers and learners.
• E-learning on cloud computing allows students to
get advantage from its resources from different
places and can also access through different
resources.
• These services are ubiquitous, so there is no need

QUESTION: IS THAT NEW
TECHNOLOGY WILL REPLACE
THE TEACHERS???
• The cloud computing based on E-learning cannot
fully replace teachers it is only an updated
technology, tools and concepts, giving new
content, methods for education, so the roles of
teachers cannot be substituted
• The teachers will still handle the class and
participate in developing and making use of E-
learning cloud
• The interaction with the contents and virtual
collaboration ensure a high retention factor
FUTURE OF CLOUD COMPUTING
IN EDUCATION
• In the future, as cloud computing develops, it is cheap
and convenient for more information processing of
schools and individuals to move to the "cloud“.
• Cloud-infrastructure provides educational institutions,
educators and students with various information services.
• The application of cloud computing in education
informatization will certainly help to solve the problem of
uneven distribution of educational resources.
• Finally, the level of education informatization will be
improved greatly.

Can be built and deployed more inexpensively, although services need to be supported and managed. • Consumers purchase access to the platforms, enabling them to deploy their own software and applications in the cloud [2 ]
  • 10. IAAS – INFRASTRUCTURE AS A SERVICE • Physical infrastructure is abstracted to provide computing, storage, and networking as a service, avoiding the expense and need for dedicated systems. • Consumers control and manage the systems in terms of the operating systems, applications, storage, and network connectivity, but do not themselves control the cloud infrastructure. [2 ]
  • 12. TYPES OF CLOUD COMPUTING PRIVATE CLOUD COMMUNITY CLOUD PUBLIC CLOUD HYBRID CLOUD
  • 13. PRIVATE CLOUD • The cloud infrastructure has been deployed, and is maintained and operated for a specific organization. The operation may be in-house or with a third party on the premises. [2][3 ]
  • 14. COMMUNITY CLOUD • The cloud infrastructure is shared among a number of organizations with similar interests and requirements. This may help limit the capital expenditure costs for its establishment as the costs are shared among the organizations. The operation may be in-house or with a third party on the premises. [2][3 ]
  • 15. • The cloud infrastructure is available to the public on a commercial basis by a cloud service provider. This enables a consumer to develop and deploy a service in the cloud with very little financial outlay compared to the capital expenditure requirements normally associated with other deployment options. PUBLIC CLOUD [2][3 ]
  • 16. • The cloud infrastructure consists of a number of clouds of any type, but the clouds have the ability through their interfaces to allow data and/or applications to be moved from one cloud to another. This can be a combination of private and public clouds that support the requirement to retain some data in an organization, and also the need to offer services in the cloud. HYBRID CLOUD [2][3 ]

  • 28. E-LEARNING AND CLOUD COMPUTING IN EDUCATION • When researchers writing about learning that combined with cloud computing or internet this idiom so called E-learning. • The benefits of E-learning on cloud computing is a flexible and comfortable tool used to engage teachers and learners. • E-learning on cloud computing allows students to get advantage from its resources from different places and can also access through different resources. • These services are ubiquitous, so there is no need [5 ] [5 ] [5 ] [5 ]
  • 29. QUESTION: IS THAT NEW TECHNOLOGY WILL REPLACE THE TEACHERS??? • The cloud computing based on E-learning cannot fully replace teachers it is only an updated technology, tools and concepts, giving new content, methods for education, so the roles of teachers cannot be substituted • The teachers will still handle the class and participate in developing and making use of E- learning cloud • The interaction with the contents and virtual collaboration ensure a high retention factor
  • 30. FUTURE OF CLOUD COMPUTING IN EDUCATION • In the future, as cloud computing develops, it is cheap and convenient for more information processing of schools and individuals to move to the "cloud“. • Cloud-infrastructure provides educational institutions, educators and students with various information services. • The application of cloud computing in education informatization will certainly help to solve the problem of uneven distribution of educational resources. • Finally, the level of education informatization will be improved greatly.
