Giles Sirett is the CEO of ShapeBlue, a company that provides consulting and support for the Apache CloudStack open source cloud orchestration platform. CloudStack is a scalable and multi-tenant cloud platform that can deliver infrastructure-as-a-service clouds. It has over 300 production deployments, supports various hypervisors, and powers major public clouds and enterprise private clouds. However, CloudStack still remains relatively unknown despite its maturity and production use, which Sirett attributes to being in the wrong place at the wrong time early on.
