Code of Behaviour - Carthagina
[English]
This code of conduct is inspired by the “​Friendly space policy for Wikimedia Foundation 
events.​”  
 
Carthagina organises a range of social activities and events that bring people from different 
backgrounds together. In order to maintain a friendly and convivial atmosphere, we, the 
Carthagina board team, have decided to draft this “ Code of Behaviour.”  
 
This is aligned with the fact that Carthagina is an apolitical and neutral organisation. 
 
We work together to set a convivial atmosphere for everyone regardless of their ​gender, 
physical ability, physical appearance, religion, ethnicity, race, political views or affiliation, or 
any other aspects​… In Carthagina, we work hard and wish to prevent any harassment 
during our activities or within our network.  
 
We care about the well­being and the integration of everyone in our network. Therefore, we 
are committed to setting and maintaining a friendly environment where everyone’s rights are 
respected. We do not accept any harassement or violation of our attendees, members, and 
or contributors’ rights as guaranteed by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. 
 
All kinds of offensive comments and/or acts that are not in compliance with our Behaviour 
Code are totally inacceptable. Participants who do not respect the rules will be automatically 
sanctioned and banned from our activities.  
 
What we mean by harassment:  
 
“Harassment” is any unwanted conduct that could hurt an individual or a group of people 
physically or emotionally. It may be repetitive, or an isolated occurrence against an individual 
or a group of people. 
 
Harassment according to our Behaviour Code maybe related to age, race, nationality, 
religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, political views or affilaition, and/or any 
personal characteristic of an individual or a group of people. 
 
 ​Harassment could be​:   
Physical​ ­ unwanted contact (e.g. unnecessary touching), 
assault or gestures, intimidation, aggressive behaviour.  
Verbal​ ­ unwelcome remarks, suggestions and propositions, 
malicious gossip and jokes  that are based on a person’s sex or race, 
 
or that refer to an indiviadual’s disability, sexuality, religion or personal 
appearance.  
Non­verbal ​­ offensive emails, letters, pictures, videos, and 
isolation or non co­operation and exclusion from the activities. 
 
When asked to stop any kind of acts (physical, verbal or non­verbal)  that might hurt an 
individual or a group of people, intentionally or unintentionally, the participant(s) is/are 
expected to comply immediately to the team member’s request. In case of non­compliance, 
the Human Resources Committee may exclude the violator(s) from temporarily or 
permanentaly depending on the degree of seriousness of the violation. In serious cases the 
HR Committee can report the harassment to the legal advisor for an appropriate legal action.  
 
We expect our participants to comply with the Code of Behaviour online (in all the social 
media channels) and offline, during the events.   
 
Please do not hesitate to report any kind violations to the HR committee members.

‫ﺗﻨﻈﻢ ﻗﺮﻃﺎﺟﻴﻨﺔ ﺍﻟﻌﺪﻳﺪ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻻﻧﺸﻄﺔ ﻭﺍﻻﺣﺪﺍﺙ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻴﺔ  ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺤﻀﺮﻫﺎ ﺍﻓﺮﺍﺩ ﻣﻦ ﻣﺮﺟﻌﻴﺎﺕ ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ. ﻟﺬﻟﻚ، ﻭﻟﻠﺤﻔﺎﻅ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺟﻮ ﻣﻦ‬ 
.‫ﺍﻟﻮﺩ ﻭﺍﻟﺘﻌﺎﻳﺶ، ﻗﺮﺭﻧﺎ ﻧﺤﻦ ﺍﻋﻀﺎء ﺍﻟﻤﻜﺘﺐ ﺍﻟﺘﻨﻔﻴﺬﻱ ﻭﺿﻊ ﻫﺬﻩ ﺍﻟﻼﺋﺤﺔ‬

‫ﻣﻈﻬﺮﻫﻢ ﺍﻭ ﺍﻧﺘﻤﺎءﺍﺗﻬﻢ ﺍﻟﺴﻴﺎﺳﻴﺔ  ﺍﻭ ﺍﻱ ﻣﻦ ﺧﺼﻮﺻﻴﺎﺗﻬﻢ. ﻭﻧﺴﻬﺮ ﻛﺬﻟﻚ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻨﻊ ﺣﺪﻭﺙ ﺍﻱ ﺗﺤﺮﺵ ﻣﻬﻤﺎ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻧﻮﻋﻪ ﺳﻮﺍء ﻛﺎﻥ ﺫﻟﻚ‬ 
.‫ﺧﻼﻝ ﺍﻧﺸﻄﺘﻨﺎ ﺍﻭ ﻓﻲ ﻣﺤﻴﻄﻨﺎ ﺍﻻﺟﺘﻤﺎﻋﻲ‬ 
‫ﻧﻬﺘﻢ ﻓﻲ ﻗﺮﻃﺎﺟﻴﻨﺔ ﺑﺮﻓﺎﻫﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺤﻴﻄﻴﻦ ﺑﻨﺎ ﻭﺗﺴﻬﻴﻞ ﺍﻧﺪﻣﺎﺟﻬﻢ ﻭﺫﻟﻚ ﻣﻦ ﺧﻼﻝ ﺍﻟﺘﺰﺍﻣﻨﺎ ﺑﺘﻮﻓﻴﺮ ﺍﻟﺠﻮ ﺍﻟﻮﺩﻱ ﺍﻟﻤﻼﺋﻢ ﻟﻬﻢ ﻭﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﺗﺤﻔﻆ ﻓﻴﻪ‬ 
‫ﺣﻘﻮﻗﻬﻢ. ﻻ ﻧﻘﺒﻞ ﺑﺎﻱ ﺗﺤﺮﺵ ﺍﻭ  ﺍﻋﺘﺪﺍء ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻱ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻋﻀﺎء ﺍﻟﺠﻤﻌﻴﺔ ﺍﻭ ﺿﻴﻮﻓﻬﺎ ﺍﻭﺍﻟﻤﺸﺎﺭﻛﻴﻦ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻻﻧﺸﻄﺔ ﻭﻧﻠﺘﺰﻡ ﺑﺎﻟﺴﻌﻲ ﺍﻟﻰ ﺣﻤﺎﻳﺔ‬ 
.‫ﺣﻘﻮﻗﻬﻢ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻳﻨﺺ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﺎ ﺍﻻﻋﻼﻥ ﺍﻟﻌﺎﻟﻤﻲ ﻟﺤﻘﻮﻕ ﺍﻻﻧﺴﺎﻥ‬

‫ﻳﻌﺘﺒﺮ ﺗﺤﺮﺷﺎ ﻛﻞ ﺳﻠﻮﻙ ﻏﻴﺮ ﻣﻘﺒﻮﻝ ﻳﻤﻜﻦ ﺍﻥ ﻳﺴﺒﺐ ﺿﺮﺭﺍ ﻣﺎﺩﻱ ﺍﻭ ﻣﻌﻨﻮﻱ ﻟﻔﺮﺩ ﺍﻭ ﻟﻤﺠﻤﻮﻋﺔ. ﻳﻤﻜﻦ ﺍﻥ ﻳﻜﻮﻥ ﻓﻌﻼ ﻣﺘﻜﺮﺭﺍ ﺍﻭ ﺣﺎﻟﺔ‬ 
.‫ﻣﻌﺰﻭﻟﺔ ﺿﺪ ﻓﺮﺩ ﺍﻭ ﻣﺠﻤﻮﻋﺔ ﺍﻓﺮﺍﺩ‬
