This study investigates the knowledge and attitudes of consumers in Manisa, Turkey, regarding the health effects of edible oils and fats through a questionnaire involving 300 respondents. The results show that 76% of participants believe there is a connection between fat consumption and cardiovascular diseases, with olive oil being recognized as the healthiest option by 26% of respondents. Despite awareness of health risks associated with fat intake, a significant portion of participants do not feel inclined to reduce fat consumption in their diets.
