1. Manual Method for lotus notes to
outlook conversion:
Manually migrate nsf to pst format using Export - Import
Wizard . Export – Import method is divided into two steps .:
Step 1: NSF file is exported from Lotus Notes .
Step 2: PST file is imported to MS Outlook .

Step 1 : Export the Lotus Notes email
file .NSF
1. Launch Lotus Notes software .

2. Open . NSF file and click open to export the file .

3. Go to "File" tab in menu then click "Export" option to start
the procedure of exporting data .
4. Export wizard window opens up. Browse a location to save
the new file .

5. Go to Save as type option click the dropdown to Choose
any of the option "Tabular Text or Structured Text or comma
separated option .
1) Comma Separated Value option selected if user wants
migrated data separated by commas .
2) Structured Text option selected if user wants data that
retains its structure after conversion in field and value format.
3)Tabular Text options selected if user wants converted data
arranged in rows and columns fromat.
Note: All the above options are supported by Outlook .
6. Click "continue" to complete the process of exporting .
7. Click on "export "button on right hand side.

Step 2: PST file is imported to MS
Outlook
1.In order to complete migration process to outlook , the next
step is to import nsf to pst. Follow the given steps to proceed :
2) Go to the Menu , click File tab >click Open>click Import .

3) Click Next Import and Export Wizard opens up , select
Import from another program or file option.
4. On the Import a file wizard select Comma Separated Values
(Windows) in the “Select file type to import from: “ options .

5. Click "Next" and browse the exported file from Lotus Notes
and select it .Click Next .
6. Select the destination mailbox folder where you want to
import the CSV file. Then Click Next .
7.Click Finish to start importing the file to destination Outlook
mailbox folder .
Important Note : Back up NSF mailbox file before using
manual trick . There’s no surety that manual trick perform
successful Migration .
Drawbacks of Manual Trick to transfer NSF to PST :
Time Consuming , Risk of Data Loss , Bulk migration of data
is really difficult ,selective migration is not possible .
