The Eblana Theatre
 The Eblana Theatre was innovative from the start
 Located in the vaults of Busaras, or ‘bus station’
 Busaras was designed by Michael Scott
 Completed in 1953, in an international modern style
 Scott won the IRAI Gold Medal for Busarus
 The vaults housed a small cinema but this closed
 Converted to the Eblana Theatre, opened 1959
 The main tenant was Phyllis Ryan, her company Gemini
Productions was endlessly inventive
 The Eblana Theatre closed down in 1995
