Why did EcoStim start its operation in Argentina?
Availability of natural gas in Argentina’s hydrocarbon basins makes gas fired turbines attractive
Established local operation with excellent reputation and track record
Only six well stimulation competitors in the market; Several barriers to entry
Subsidized oil price of $68/BOE; price of natural gas is $7.50 mmbtu
Argentina has 3rd largest shale formation in world; highest daily production outside of N. America
7
What makes EcoStim’s growth opportunity
attractive for investors?
8
Drivers
• Shale plays require massive horsepower
• Argentina is currently importing the maximum amount of natural gas possible
• Major incentives for operators to increase gas production
Supply
Constraints
• Importation of new equipment is difficult and time consuming
• Local manufacturing capability becomes primary bottleneck
• Current equipment capacity needs to expand by 5X in order to meet anticipated development needs over next three
years
Positioning
• Over past two years, EcoStim has positioned 50,000 HHP of modern equipment into Argentina ahead of the ramp-up
in shale drilling
• Service track record has been excellent over two years for multiple customers
Increasing
Activity
• Horizontal well activity expected to increase by 65% in 2017 over 2016 levels
• Tight gas activity expected to increase by 100% in 2017 over 2016 levels
Strong growth can be achieved in major shale developments

Argentina has barriers to entry that limit capacity growth
Source: Management Estimates & Published Industry Research
Barriers to Entry:
• Importation of new stimulation equipment is still challenging
• Any new equipment into country must be negotiated with at least 3 agencies (Ministry of Industry,
Department of Trade, and Customs Office)
• Matching agreements need to be negotiated with local vendors
• Government still favors protectionist policies to support local industry
• Repatriation of dollars has been difficult historically; still scares some competitors

Despite a government oil price guarantee for non-exported oil of $67.50; oil
drilling is down 50% in Argentina primarily because of the gap between
international oil prices and the Argentina oil price. As the Brent oil price
returns to $55-60; activity in Argentina’s oil fields is expected to resume at the
same time that gas drilling accelerates.

Argentina is a net importer now of both oil and gas
Oil consumption outstrips local oil supplies by 33k bbls/day. At
$45/barrel this equates to $542 million per year
Gas consumption outstrips local gas supplies by 1.2 bcf/day or
$5.694 billion per year at $13 per mmbtu
Over $6 billion in dollars
leaves the country each
year to buy energy if
importation continues.

13
Argentina has gone from net energy imports of $2 billion in 2009
to over $10 billion in 2013; Last two years not reported
14
Energy imports (primarily LNG & nat. gas) had
reduced dollar reserves to dangerous levels in 2015

Modern computer processing speed and software developments have allowed for:
– Multiple redundant safety features now automated;
– Turbine / Gearbox interface now 100% computer controlled (human error issue resolved);
– Computer controlled interface allows for smooth engagement; reduced maintenance.
– Automated fuel purge & cool down process prevents turbine overheating and limits fuel blockage
– Overall control of turbines/pumps now very comparable to traditional diesel pumps; including pump down
and pressure testing capability
– Multiple emergency shut down features make turbine damage or catastrophic failure almost impossible
– Maintenance management system to record operational parameters allowing for well timed preventive
maintenance programs
Modern automation software, sensing technology and computer
chip speed allow for major changes in turbine pumping

  • 7. Why did EcoStim start its operation in Argentina? Availability of natural gas in Argentina’s hydrocarbon basins makes gas fired turbines attractive Established local operation with excellent reputation and track record Only six well stimulation competitors in the market; Several barriers to entry Subsidized oil price of $68/BOE; price of natural gas is $7.50 mmbtu Argentina has 3rd largest shale formation in world; highest daily production outside of N. America 7
  • 8. What makes EcoStim’s growth opportunity attractive for investors? 8 Drivers • Shale plays require massive horsepower • Argentina is currently importing the maximum amount of natural gas possible • Major incentives for operators to increase gas production Supply Constraints • Importation of new equipment is difficult and time consuming • Local manufacturing capability becomes primary bottleneck • Current equipment capacity needs to expand by 5X in order to meet anticipated development needs over next three years Positioning • Over past two years, EcoStim has positioned 50,000 HHP of modern equipment into Argentina ahead of the ramp-up in shale drilling • Service track record has been excellent over two years for multiple customers Increasing Activity • Horizontal well activity expected to increase by 65% in 2017 over 2016 levels • Tight gas activity expected to increase by 100% in 2017 over 2016 levels

  • 10. Argentina has barriers to entry that limit capacity growth Source: Management Estimates & Published Industry Research Barriers to Entry: • Importation of new stimulation equipment is still challenging • Any new equipment into country must be negotiated with at least 3 agencies (Ministry of Industry, Department of Trade, and Customs Office) • Matching agreements need to be negotiated with local vendors • Government still favors protectionist policies to support local industry • Repatriation of dollars has been difficult historically; still scares some competitors
