All online students in the educ 400 course must submit an eportfolio that includes reflections on their student teaching experiences and alignment with specific practices and habits of mind. The portfolio requires at least one reflection per practice and two habits, detailing definitions, beliefs, and artifact descriptions to demonstrate competencies. Submission is through a designated platform, is graded pass/fail, and includes a mandatory sharing session at the semester's end.

• Reflection should include the following:
• Definition of practice/skill or habit/disposition (e.g. how you define

or habit/disposition.
• A description of each artifact that explains how each demonstrates the
practice/skill or habit/disposition. Descriptions should be detailed

- 1. EDUC 400: Portfolio Requirement All online students are required to submit an ePortfolio (online/electronic format)

- 3. Purpose • Culminating documentation of your learning from your student teaching experience specifically related to elements of the conceptual framework and the habits of mind/dispositions of the program.
- 4. Portfolio Format • Online seminar students are required to submit an ePortfolio (electronic/online). • Sample ePortfolios are provided in the Portfolio Module. • Resources are provided in the Portfolio Module including options for developing your ePortfolio (i.e., free software applications).

Evaluation/Sharing • The link to your ePortfolio will be submitted through the appropriate assignment in UNM Learn. • Portfolios are graded on a pass/fail basis. • If you fail your portfolio, you will be provided with feedback and will have an opportunity to resubmit for a second evaluation. • There is a mandatory portfolio session towards the end of the semester that you will be required to attend. You will have the opportunity to share your portfolio with other seminar students and school district personnel are invited to view your portfolios and meet you. (Date TBA)
- 10. Portfolio Module • Be sure to go through the Portfolio Module in the course to familiarize yourself with the requirements for the portfolio. • There is also a Portfolio Support discussion forum. You are very much encouraged to participate in this discussion forum to give and receive support as you develop your portfolio. Be sure to subscribe to it so you will receive emailed updates of activity and as such will remain informed and engaged. • Both the module and the discussion forum will remain open throughout the semester.
