1. Networker Setup steps:
1. Install Networker app server in windows machine, here I install server, client and storage node.
2. Install Networker app server in Linux system (only client) from that server we taken backup.
3. Though I don’t have any tape library, that’s why I install Firestreamer for creating virtual tape
library where I assign a folder as a tape.
4. Client configuration through Network App server.
5. Take a backup from client server.
6. Start the recover process for client server from Server.
7. Basic operation of Networker App ( Start , Stop , Status)
Look At the below Diagram, we can find diagram of Networker Server
Step 1: Install Networker in windows Machine
Unzip the nw90_win_x64.zip for Networker 9 version

Then Run Installer: F:NetWorkerwin_x64networkrNetWorker-9.0.0.2.exe

Here my windows server works as Server and client means from this windows machine , I can perform
other networker client backup and recovery process.

To browse the Networker app , need to upgrade Java version
Then install

Step 2 : Install Networker Client install in Linux system
Send nw90_linux_x86_64.tar.gz in Linux system through Winscp

Gunzip the nw90_linux_x86_64.tar.gz
Then extract this nw90_linux_x86_64.tar file
Now check which RPM used for what purpose

Now install this mention RPM
[root@NetWorker linux_x86_64]# rpm -ivh lgtoclnt-9.0.0.2-1.x86_64.rpm lgtonmc-9.0-1.x86_64.rpm
lgtoman-9.0.0.2-1.x86_64.rpm lgtonode-9.0.0.2-1.x86_64.rpm lgtoserv-9.0.0.2-1.x86_64.rpm
So many dependenciyes RPM is needed that’ why athached /media/RHEL_6.4 x86_64 Disc 1/Packages
and install dependciyes RPM

The NetWorker installation for all supported x64 Linux operating systems and versions requires two packages that
the default OS installation might not include.
Manually download and install the following Linux OS packages before you install the NetWorker software. The
NetWorker installation fails when these two packages do not exist on the host:
rpm -uvh --nodeps compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.i686.rpm
rpm -ivh --nodeps compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-69.el6.i686.rpm

After complete this dependecyes

Failed to start Networker due to no entry in /etc/hosts
After enter this entry it’s ok

Step3 : Create Virtual Tape Library
Install Firestreamer-x64.msi

Create Virtual Media Library assisgn a windows directory as a virtual tape

Step 4:Make linux system as a client sytem for windows system
Now Aadministrator windows come in, then click Protection
Enter the Linux system IP Or you can use Hostname client Server , you must entry hosts file in client
information

Though client is install in Linux system then Server will automatically get information of client system

** Getting error here to resolve it put server hostname in client machine

After that shows all client directory you can take backup

Or you can select any specific backup directory

Step 5: Due to Some Technical problem Backup Sceniraio is ommitted from this Doc.
(Due to no phyical tape Library)
Step 6: Recovery step for Client from Backup
Right click of client , then select recover
Client infromation with all backup et information is coming, Then click Next button

Step 7: Basic Opertaion of Netwoker ( Start , Stop , Status)
Status check: ps -ef | grep nsr
If any job is not running then you have to understand Networker is not running
If running then you will see the Networker Job is running.
Start Networker job:
Move this path /etc/init.d then run ./networker start

Check the status
./networker status
Stop the Netwoker app: Move this path /etc/init.d then run ./networker stop
