GitHub is a cloud-based platform for collaborating on open source projects using Git for version control. Esri uses GitHub to publish over 140 open source projects, including ArcGIS products, apps and samples, templates and frameworks, and tools. Contributors can get involved by forking projects, making local changes, and submitting pull requests to contribute code back to the original projects.
