Juxtaposition Of Mevlut
Mevlut is exhibited as a sort of parР°gon of averageness. He gets an essential
training, going to secondary school before dropping out to work close to his dad.
Like the greater part of the Turkish populace, he is a Muslim, however, he mirrors
his country s legitimate secularism by not being especially ardent or perceptive. He
is straightforward, tireless and not too bad. He has dubious dreams that one day he
may end up plainly rich. On a few events, he is depicted as honest . Throughout the
novel, which traverses over four decades starting in the late 1960s, Mevlut
endeР°vours to accommodate his family, trudging his way through a progression of
humble occupations. He offers yoghurt, rice dishes and frozen yoghurt in the city; he

Late one night when he is out selling bozР°, Mevlut is drawn nearer by two men, a
father and child, who scare him before ransacking him at knifepoint. The
juxtaposition of these opening scenes builds up the novel s laced subjects and the
parameters of Mevlut s emblematic relationship to his city and by expansion his
country. They are two pivotal turning points of dissatisfaction, one in which his purity
brings about him being tricked, and the other in which his felt liking with the
boulevards of Istanbul encounters the city s dim side. What is huge about these two
minutes is that neither outcomes in any real emergency of certainty or huge

Essay On Milton Glaser
Milton Glaser, born in 1929 is one of the most honorable and well respected
graphic designers today. He has contributed to many creative ideas and also helped
create the Pushpin. Glaser was educated in three very prestigious schools, High
School of Music and Art and the Cooper Union art school in New York and, via a
Fulbright Scholarship, the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy. Milton Glaser
played with the aspect of figuring out what is art and how can you define
something that has many different meanings. He wrote that art is whatever
(Milton Glaser, TED) and then he discovered that art has mystery that shadows
history. Now, because Glaser was and still is a well respected artist, he was given

In 1989 Glaser had many shows out in exhibitions but one stood out, which was

also given the opportunity to create a tribute to the Italian artist, Piero della

to visualize painting but he did his best and started a series of them, a series of
variations. He did variations of him in profile because apparently he was injured in
battle. So there were many abstract variations of that painting. Glaser has become
the face of the community for artists, he has been a board member for the School of
Visual Arts in New York since 1961. He was and still is on the board at the Cooper

Big Business And Conservation Activism
The struggle between providing for California s burgeoning population and the
corresponding increase pressure on California s ever shrinking pristine natural
wonders and natural resources has been a constant clash between the forces of big
business and conservation activism. However, the outcomes of these many battles
have increasingly favored the side of economics over nature. The trend that
becomes clear is that the will of the businessmen have been prevailing over the
concerns of the conservationists more and more. What are the forces that are
pushing the pendulum closer and closer towards the desires of industry? By
examining the history of this conflict between these two factions, it will become
clear how one has had progressively more of an advantage over the other. Today, the
main reason that industry s goals almost always prevails over conservation s efforts
is economics and what an advantage in economics can buys one politically. Economic
interests will predominately have ever increasing priority over environmental interest
as long as money is considered speech and corporations are people; therefore, the
most pragmatic solution that would allot conservation groups with an equal voice in
the political process with business is to call for an Article V Constitutional
Convention to pass an amendment to permanently get money out of politics
nationwide. During a time before money was protected as political speech,
conservation groups had a somewhat even footing

Resistance Of The Mutant Oncogenes
Introduction
One in five deaths today is a result of some form of cancer. This terrible disease
stems from mutations in body cells, which interfere with the cells normal regulation
of growth, division, and death. Cells can make occasional mistakes and divide too
early or not destroy themselves at the right time (Alberts et al. 2014). The Hayflick
limit, described in 1961 by Leonard Hayflick, states that normal human cells can
divide for about 50 times (Watts 2011). In cancers, though, this limit does not exist,
and cells continually divide. Occasional mistakes do not have tremendous
consequences on large, multicellular organisms, however. When many cells begin to
make these mistakes, though, tumorigenesis and cancer can occur. ... Show more

The pigment protects skin cells, particularly the DNA of the cells, from damaging
ultraviolet radiation from the sun, and has been shown to reduce the frequency of
radiation induced mutations and to completely remove low dose radiation effects

melanin production occurs. The melanosomes have 4 stages of maturity, starting with
stage 1, or premelanosomes, and progressing to stage 4, or mature melanosomes. The
stages can be determined based on the composition of the vesicles in the cells
(Setaluri 2003). The mature melanosomes then branch off from the dendritic tips of
the melanocytes and travel to keratinocytes, keratin producing cells (Seiberg 2001).

Human Impact On My Ecological Footprint Calculator
An ecological footprint calculator determines how much land area it takes to support
the lifestyle of each individual on planet Earth. Ecological footprint calculators give
individuals the opportunity to discover their major areas of resource consumption
and to find out what pursuable measures are needed to utilize fewer resources. At the
end of the quiz, the calculator reveals how many planet Earths it takes to support the

resources because a necessary supply is constantly available. Fortunately, human

Recycling, turning off electronics when leaving a room, and using public

Australian Involvement In The Vietnam War
The Vietnam War was a Cold War era proxy war sparked in the 1950s between the
capitalist supported South Vietnam and the communist supported North Vietnamese.
Marking history as the world s first ever televised war, the Vietnam War was subject
to widespread criticism and protest, sparking a clear divide between the Australian
population. The Vietnam War period and its political fallout have left a staggeringly
significant impact on both Australian foreign affairs and culture. While there were a
variety of factors leading the Australian population to the conflict, the main defining
doctrine that the ruling Australian elite and the general population as a whole was to
draw the line in terms of how far Communism s clutches may spread. The Domino...

Political Risk
Political Risk
Political risk is a type of risk faced by investors, corporations, and governments. It is a
risk that can be understood and managed with reasoned foresight and investment.
Broadly, political risk refers to the complications businesses and governments may
face as a result of what are commonly referred to as political decisions or any
political change that alters the expected outcome and value of a given economic
action by changing the probability of achieving business objectives. .[1] Political risk
faced by firms can be defined as the risk of a strategic, financial, or personnel loss for

Research has shown that macro level indicators can be quantified and modeled like
other types of risk. For example, Eurasia Group produces a political risk index
which incorporates four distinct categories of sub risk into a calculation of macro
level political stability. This Global Political Risk Index can be found in publications
like The Economist.[6] Other companies which offer publications on macro level
political risk include Economist Intelligence Unit and The PRS Group, Inc.
Micro level political risk
Micro level political risks are project specific risks. In addition to the macro political
risks, companies have to pay attention to the industry and relative contribution of their
firms to the local economy.[7] An examination of these types of political risks might
look at how the local political climate in a given region may impact a business
endeavor. Micropolitical risks are more in the favour of local businesses rather than
international organizations operating in the nation. This type of risk process includes
the project specific government review Committee on Foreign Investment in the
United States (CFIUS), the selection of dangerous local partners with political power,
and expropriation/nationalization of projects and assets.
To extend the CFIUS example above, imagine a Chinese company wished to
purchase a US weapons component producer. A micro level political risk report
might include a full analysis of the CFIUS regulatory climate as it
The Importance Of A Fandom Discourse Community
When you apart of this fandom discourse community it is way more than about just
representing the team you must know the knowledge to be credible, feel the
emotion and passion for your team whether they win or lose, and have the logic to
prove you are a fan of this team. These are all factors of why this discourse
community matters, they all prove how you apart of this community and how
people on the outside have come in. The biggest of them all is the everlasting
bonds and friendships you create through this community. These bonds can last
lifetimes just over the fact you guys share the same favorite team which is why
you should care about this discourse community. Being a part of this distinct
community related to fandoms of team, it is more than just cheering for the team
passionately, it involves knowing the team and showing that you are a true fan. To be
credible as a cowboy s fan and for people to believe you that you are a true cowboys
fan you have to at least have cowboys gear. True cowboys fan have at least a jersey to
represent your favorite player, or have cowboy decorations in your house like a flag
or a cowboy s towel. Anybody that is a fan of any type of team you would know
exactly what I mean because you have the gear for that team. So that is why being
a fan of the Dallas Cowboys matters because we all have a favorite team who we
represent in public, or in private. Another way to be credible is to know specific
facts about this team, for example if someone
The Contract Of Bail Case
Historically, the contract of bail, traced to a gradual increase of faith in the honor of
a being a legal hostage and the consequent relaxation of actual imprisonment,
constitutes one of the first appearances of the concept of contract in our law. The
early contract of bail differed from the modern bailbond in its mode of execution as it
was simply a solemn admission of liability by the suretiesmade in the presence of an
officer authorized to take it. No signatures of the bail were required, and it was not
necessary for the person bailed to bind himself as a party. The undertaking to forfeit
a sum in a written bail bond came later in the course of time.
The purpose of a bail bond with sureties is to ensure that the accused will appear in
court at a given time by requiring others to assume responsibility for him on penalty
of forfeiture of their property. In times past, especially when the sureties were friends
and relatives of the accused, it was assumed that due to his personal relationship the
threat of forfeiture of the surety s property would serve as an effective deterrent to the
accused s temptation to break the conditions of the bond by flight. On the other hand,
it was assumed that this threat would also inspire the surety to keep close watch on
the accused to prevent his flight.
On a bail bond, the accused and the sureties are the obligors, the accused being the
principal, and the government as the obliged. In the event the conditions of the bail
bond are

Design Of The Research Design Essay
CHAPTER 4
DESIGN OF THE STUDY
4.1 INTRODUCTION
This chapter describes the methodology and research design of the study. The
methodology describes the broad scheme or plan of the research and elaborates the
tools of analysis. A methodology or a research design refers to approaches and
research strategies, e.g. surveys; questionnaires etc. In a broader context methodology
refers to a design whereby, the researcher selects data and analysis procedures to
investigate a specific research problem (Cohen, Manion and Morrison; 2008).
Research designs have been classified differently by different scholars. Some scholars
(Bodgan Biklen, 1982) discuss research methods under two broad headings:
qualitative and quantitative. Gay (1987) indicates that while naturalistic researcher
prefer qualitative methods, such as participant observation and in depth interviewing,
rationalistic researchers tend to use quantitative methodologies such as random
selection of subjects and administration of standardized instruments. While qualitative
studies focus on subjective information, such as feelings, experiences or opinions:
data that cannot be scientifically quantified. Quantitative research is the opposite,
shunning subjectivity in favor of objectivity. Quantitative research focuses on
statistics and quantifiable information.
The present research is both qualitative and quantitative in nature as it involves in
depth analysis of the textbook content as well as questionnaire which has both open

Analysis Of Deborah Fink s The Rural Midwest
Cutting Into the Meatpacking Line: Workers and Change in the Rural Midwest
book, by Deborah Fink, focuses mainly on showing what was happening in the
meatpacking s industry in the rural Midwest of Iowa. It shows that the key factors
in the creation the history of the rural working class depended on the different
experiences that gender, ethnic and racial minorities faced during the working years
in the meatpacking. It shows the painful process of struggling for recognition of the
employees rights that women, ethnic and racial minorities faced when they were
entering into the meatpacking workforce. Fink wrote her book to inform the reader
about what was happening in the meatpacking industry of Iowa the old days, and
how women, ethnic and racial minorities faced a lot of segregation, discrimination,
harassment, and unequal wages. What does Fink mean when she once said The
union, in digging in its heels to preserve the old system, conceded gender to the
manipulation of packing companies, thereby contributing to the deterioration of
conditions for all workers (Fink, P. 112) ? What was the old system look alike?
Moreover, what was the impact of the manipulation of gender? The old system was
supporting the gender division in the workplace. This division had generated
workplace s conflict and inequality between different gender in the workplace of
Iowa. Started by rural working class women before 1940 when the society thought
that women s works were indecent. Even though,

Explain How Would You Describe Your Theological And

Q: How would you describe your theological and church heritage?
A: My earliest church experience was in a pentecostal church in Calgary as a child.
My parents began attending when I was three and are currently there still. When I
was young church was more of a place to play with my friends and eat sugar cubes
meant for coffee, than a place to meet with God. I believed in God but I can t say I
had any sort of a relationship with him. In sunday school I memorized bible verses
and stories because it was expected of me. I believed all I was being taught, but in the
way a child believes anything adults teach them. I never questioned anything.
As a teenager, life began to put more pressure on my faith. I went to public school
and most of my friends had no faith in God. My best friend died of muscular
dystrophy when I was 16. I prayed and prayed he would be healed. His family and I
even took him to faith healing event. I was so sure he would be healed and when he

Ice Life Fighting in the National Hockey League(NHL) has been an ongoing brutal
way of getting fans excited. The past years the number of fights have dropped, with
only 344 fights last season, the fewest number within the past 15 years (Adam
Vingan). For those people who oppose fighting this comes as good news, as this area
of the Hockey has been investigated heavily. In 1922, rule 56 was introduced into the
National Hockey League which was supposed to regulate the fighting in the NHL
and was called the official NHL rulebook(Wikipedia). Still today we have fighting
in the National Hockey league even with rule 56 strictly enforced. It s not just the
fighting that s the problem anymore, it s the concussions and other side effects
/injuries from it. Players are suffering far greater head trauma each time they get in
a fight which further on in life leads to multiple health problems. If fighting were
to be banned in the NHL, would it still be the same? Some may say yes, but others
speculate no. For now, fans don t see any changes coming soon so why not enjoy it
better yet play it. Though pro hockey is a sport known for its violence, it is a great
career for the players that can make it into the pros. It is a great career because it
provides a great income, the athletes thrive on the physicality of the sport, and it is
growing in popularity worldwide. In 1917 the NHL was formed with only 5 teams

Comparing The Social Science Fiction Novel 1984 And The...
A dystopia is a futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societal control
and the illusion of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic,
technological, moral, or totalitarian control. A more recent dystopia is the book or
movie The Giver. The book starts out as what seems like a utopia where all pain,
disease, and conflict have been abolished. As the book progresses and the main
character Jonas gains insight into what the people have willingly given up their
freedoms and individualities for the so called common good of the community, it
becomes more and more obvious that the community is a horrible place in which to
live. Many authors use their dystopian novels to voice their opinion of where the
world is heading. The social science fiction novel 1984 written by George Orwell
has many similarities and differences as the science fiction movie The Matrix
directed by Lana Wachowski. In the dystopian worlds in both the book and the
movie, the characters have similar feelings towards how their worlds are ran. In
1984 characters Winston and Julia share the same feelings towards their world,
they both decide to rebel against the government, this lead the two to fall in love
with each other. Winston first begins to rebel by going into one of the shops owned
by the proles, this was against the rules because ВЁParty members were supposed
not to go into ordinary shops ( dealing on the free market , it was called), but the rule

ABSTRACT
Churn Prediction has been major research problem with the growth of market
development as customers asset more valuable persons for growth of company. The
occurrence of churn customers is one of the crucial problems for the growth of a
company, as it acquires higher costs. The task of churn predictionis to identify the
customers who are pretending to shift from one company to another. As in the
competitive environment, it becomes necessary to focus on retaining churn
customers as well as attracting new customers. Various algorithms of Data Mining
have been used for making distinguish between customers into loyal and churn, so
that appropriate steps can be taken into consideration in order to retain the churn
customers to the company as customers are more valuable to the survival and
development of the company. The proposed Hybrid approach is an integration of two
techniques named J48 and LogitBoost that have feature of PSO (Particle Swarm
Optimization), provides better and accurate results in the prediction of churn
customers. PSO is used to search the best solution with two best values named pbst
and gbst by using iteration with initial velocity and positions. The experiment results
reveal good distinction of churn and loyal customers from the
The Invention Of The Assembly Line
Introduction:
The degree of engineering production has substantially increased over the last one
hundred years. There exists numerous reasons why the world has been able to
progress so quickly in the last one hundred years than the few thousand years before.
The main answer lies in the invention of the assembly line. Prior to the assembly line,
production rate was dependent on the precision of specific parts for an item and a
worker s ability to assemble the specific parts together. The assembly line
eliminated the idea of a worker who must be trained to build every part of a machine
or item. Instead, the assembly line focused more on small independent jobs for lesser
trained employees. With the assembly line, an employee would ... Show more content

Henry Ford introduced his Model T in 1908, which astounded the public due to its
simplicity and reliability, according to History.com. While the Model T was
inexpensive, Ford didn t find his product to be as inexpensive as he wanted. Ford
challenged himself to find a way to make his dream of supplying the whole nation
with affordable cars a reality. Ford realized that he must change his methods of
production in order to decrease the price of his automobiles. His invention of the
assembly line actually started before the Model T came out, but Ford did not
know it at the time. The Model N was built prior to the Model T. The workers on
the Model N automobiles placed the parts in order along the floor while the under
construction auto was on skids and moved down the line. The workers placed their
respective parts on the machine as it passed by. For the Model T, Ford tried to
make his process even better. He broke the assembly process into 84 small steps.
On top of this, workers were trained for only one of the 84 steps. By having a
machine that could make interchangeable parts faster than any human, the process
accelerated quickly and there was no shortage on supplies. With the combination of
the new parts machine, line of workers trained per step, and an order of parts, the
assembly line was born. Figure 1 below shows the wheels and hubcaps of Model T
cars being assembled using the assembly line. The excessive amounts
Application Of The Gauss Newton Method
As a final example of the application of the Gauss Newton method, we attempted to
find the best fit for a set of data with a sinusoidal function. This example illustrates
how the Gauss Newton method can applied to functions with more that just two
variables, and that it can be applied to an equation of any form. In it, will attempt
to model temperature data with a sinusoidal function. Below is a chart of the
average high temperatures per month of the city of Monroe Louisiana (courtesy of
weather.com). Month Temperature (Fahrenheit) January 56 February 60 March 69
April 77 May 84 June 90 July 94 August 94 September 88 October 79 November 68
December 58 As can be seen by the chart, this data appears to take the form of a
sinusoidal function. Therefore, we will try to fit it with the general form of this
function, shown below: y(t)=Aв€
—sin(wв€
—t+phi )+C A is the amplitude, w is the
frequency, t is time, phi is the phase and C is a constant. Given this equation there
are four unknowns that must be found. In the code, these four variables are
represented by the column vector a and are returned in the column vector w. As
always, the code requires that we first solve, analytically, for the partial derivatives
required for the Jacobian. In this example, the function to be minimized, r, is given
by: rk=qkв€’(a1в€
—sin(a2в€
—pk+a3)+a4) where rk is the residual at the particular
temperature value, qk is the measured temperature and pk is the month, represented
in the code as January = 1, February

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CAUSES FOR SUCH A CRISIS TO OCCUR?
The debt crisis, explained above, in several member states of the euro area has
contributed in raising doubts about the viability of European Economic and Monetary
Union(EMU) and the future of the euro.
While the launch of the euro in 1999 created a considerable enthusiasm toward
regional monetary integration and even monetary unification in different parts of the
world, the present emergency had the inverse impact, actually raising desires of a
separation of the euro region. The emergency has shown the issues and pressures that
will inescapably emerge inside a fiscal union when uneven characters develop and get
to be unsustainable. The reason for the European emergency will be further ... Show

The nation has then ended up unable to get or even move over existing obligation
except at prohibitively high investment rate.
The divulgence of the genuine Greek monetary circumstance raised genuine
questions about the nation s capability to meet its obligations. The following rating
downsizes and steadily climbing premium rates prompted a deterioration of Greece s
right to gain entrance to capital markets that made it significantly more troublesome
and in the end incomprehensible for the legislature to refinance itself, creating a
down spiral for the Greek economy. So by then, the Government needed to speak to
its fellow members of the European Union and IMF for bailout. The bailout, then
again, failed to restore market trust in the Greek economy. In addition, it failed to end
the contagion of the crisis to other nations of the euro area.
Specifically, the Greek crisis and the hesitant political reaction from the other
European nations raised concerns over the debt circumstance and the structural and
competitiveness issues of the financially weaker periphery member nations of the
euro area, named PIIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Spain). As an outcome,
the borrowing costs for the PIIGS expanded fundamentally and the expense of

How Does Beethoven Use Gcse Form In Symphony 8
Introduction One of the most crucial composers throughout the transition of the
classical era to the romantic era was Beethoven. He was pronounced as the greatest
living composer by the time he was 50. Throughout his lifetime he had published
138 compositions and after his death there were over 200 more compositions
published. This is an amazing feat as he had started suffering from hearing loss at
the age of 26 and by the time he was around the age of 46, he became fully deaf. He
created some of the most famous pieces of which includes Fur Elise, Symphony
No.5, and Symphony No.9. This topic interested me because of how he was able to
create spectacular compositions even while being affected by hearing loss. I also

This theme begins with a legato and lyrical style that contrasts the staccato style of
the first theme. The violins are used as an accompaniment of the melodic exchange
between the flute and the oboe. This exchange creates a back and forth movement
between the two instruments. The melody begins with a rising fourth which is a
link to the first theme. The accompaniment plays staccato arpeggios which gives a
reminder of the last measure of the first theme. From measure 65, the use of
syncopation previously heard measures 57 to 58 gives rhythmic drive through this
section. The violins then take the lead and restate the theme with the flutes and
oboes answering. Beethoven s use of diminished chords, in measure 65, and
adding emphasis using sforzando adds more the dramatic nature of the passage. In
measure 69, the strings have rising eighth notes with semitones. A few measures
later the flutes and oboes double the violins rising eighth notes which again
underlines the importance of the rising semitone. This last until measure 77 as the
second theme returns to a soft ending as the lyrical phrases played by the violins,
oboes, and flutes are now played by the cellos and double basses. The codetta, or
closing, begins at measure 88 and lasts until measure 110. This section creates a
conclusion by combining familiar elements from the first and second themes. In
measures 94 to 99, the strings have tremolos which gives a sensation of the music
being at fast rhythmic tempo and in measures 100 to 109 the woodwinds and horns
have slurred phrases which resembles the lyrical phrases played in the second

Even though the university followed a centralized organizational model was not
consistent throughout and there was a hidden decentralization of the IT governance.
For instance, in a centralized model, the problems with the lecture capturing software
while authenticating the already registered students or the inadequate network
bandwidth should be solved by the help desk support team instead of referring back
to the faculty. IT monarchy is fitting governance for the decisions like aligning
security procedures to IS architecture specifications, where corporate IT (Individuals
or groups of IT executives. ) takes the title role and is responsible for specifying the
configuration, consistency in protection achieving competency among the

Essay on 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People
Stephen R. Covey s self help book is an influential communication for personal
change. He advises building from the inside out and offers a plan for moving from
dependence to independence and then to interdependence. The inside out approach
starts first with one self, which includes paradigms, characters, and motivations. To
improve relationships with others, we have to first improve ourselves by putting
character ahead of personality. Covey prefaces the book by explaining paradigms and
principles. Paradigms are maps that guide us and affect the way we interact with
people. He states, We see the world not as it is, but as we are or as we are
conditioned to see it (page 28). Paradigms have a greater impact over effectiveness
than any... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Covey states that effectiveness is based on a principle he called the P/PC balance.
This P/PC balance principle lies in the balance of production of desired results to
the production capabilities. The PC principle is to always treat your employees
exactly as you want them to treat your best customers (page 58). Covey states that
the P/PC balance is the essence of effectiveness: It s the definition and paradigm of
effectiveness upon which the seven habits in this book are based (page 58).Covey
calls those things that we have no control over the circle of concern. Those that we
can control fall into the circle of influence. He describes three areas that problems
fall into. They are direct control, indirect control and no control. Direct control
problems involve our own behavior. There are addressed in the three habits.
Covey explains that private victories precede public victories. Private victories are
solving problems by working on our own habits. Indirect control problems are
solved by changing our methods. Public victories are discussed in Habits 4, 5 6 and
involve learning new methods of influence. No control problems are those that we
can do nothing about but accept them so that we do not empower these problems to
control us (page 86). It is how we change our habits, methods and
Compare And Contrast Three Republican Presidents In The
1920s
Throughout the 1920 s and after World War II., America faced many problems
economically and socially. The Republican Party had been always one of the largest
parties in United States; therefore, Republican presidents have maintained a big role
in the administration of United States either before and World War I or after World
War II. The Republican presidents in the 1920 s were Warren G. Harding
, Calvin
Coolidge, and Herbert Hoover. Whereas the 3 Republican presidents elected after
World War 2 were Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan. In
both periods, these Republican presidents have similarities and differences in
domestic and foreign policies. In addition, during and between these periods some

During Harding s term, a couple of people on his administration were accused and
arrested for bribery and corruption. The most well known scandal was the Teapot
Dome scandal were the Secretary of the Interior was arrested for accepting bribes
to release government land to oil companies for their own personal reasons.
Harding did good for America and its people, but because of the scandals he was
not directly involved in, his good was no longer noticed. Harding did not last for
long in his terms because he died due to illness, but there were speculations that he
was murdered by his wife or that he killed himself. The next Republican president
that caught the nation s eye was Calvin Coolidge. Calvin really got noticed when
he used the National Guard to break up a strike in Boston. Coolidge reduced the
federal debt, lowered income tax rates (mostly for the wealthy) with 3 Revenue
Acts and began construction of a national highway system that was very useful for
trading and such. The last Republican president of the 1920s was Herbert Hoover.
Herbert Hoover was with what he liked to call associationalism. This meant seeing
which association nationwide was first in commerce and industry. He enjoyed the
association of business and government together. Hoover was president at the time
of the Stock Market Crash in 1929. Hoover continued to say that the worst was
over and that the economy was strong enough to hop up until the market was back
on track, but he was completely wrong about this because a worldwide depression
took place. The depression caused a huge impact on the American people. Families
were unable to pay rent, lived off of potatoes, crackers, some even searched through
garbage cans. Marriage was delayed, reproduction rate also decreased. The most
impacted class was the farmers and the agricultural sector. Crop prices hit rock
bottom and due to farmers trying to compensate for

The listener can also understand that she is a church going woman who prays a lot

himself. Bennett continues to vocalize his appreciation for his grandmother, and the
audience can understand that she is worth more than money to him and even in
times when they did not have a lot of money she always filled that void. For
example, in verse two, Hella holes in my stocking holding your pockets in place; I
like my love with a budget, I like my hugs with a scent; You smell like light, gas,
water, electricity, rent, (Genius) Chance tells how his grandmother simply reminds
him of home. In the hook that goes like, You gotta move it slowly; Take and eat
my body like it s holy; I ve been waiting for you for this whole week; I ve been
praying for you, you re my Sunday candy, (Genius) Jamila Woods really is able to
express to the audience the feeling of missing your grandmother and wanting to never
leave them. This hook also compares the feeling Bennett has for his grandmother to
the Church ceremony of First Sunday Communion. Additionally, Woods sings in the
bridge, You better come on in this house, cause it s gonna rain; Rain down Zion, it s
gonna rain. The audience can make the comprehension that his grandmother would
call him to come inside the house after a certain time because after dark is safer to
be inside rather than outside and Bennett always felt like his grandmother s house was
Advent Research Paper
Advent is a season observed in many Western Christian churches as a time of
expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at
Christmas. The term is a version of the Latin word meaning coming .
Latin adventus is the translation of the Greek word parousia, commonly used to refer
to the Second Coming of Christ. For Christians, the season of Advent anticipates the
coming of Christ from three different perspectives. Since the time of Bernard of
Clairvaux(d.1153) Christians have spoken of the three comings of Christ: in the flesh
in Bethlehem, in our hearts daily, and in glory at the end of time. [1] The season
offers the opportunity to share in the ancient longing for the coming of the Messiah,
and to be alert ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first clear references to the Western Church to Advent occur in the Gelasian
Sacramentary, which provides Advent Collects, Epistles, and Gospels for the five
Sundays preceding Christmas and for the corresponding Wednesdays and
Fridays.[14] While the Sunday readings relate to the first coming of Jesus Christ as
savior as well as to his second coming as judge, traditions vary in the relative
importance of penitence and expectation during the weeks in Advent.
Liturgical colors[edit]

The usual liturgical color in Western Christianity for Advent is either violet (or
purple) or blue.[15] The violet or purple color is often used for hangings around the
church, the vestments of the clergy, and often also the tabernacle. In some Christian
denominations, blue, a color representing hope, is an alternative liturgical color for

Italian Unification Italy 1930 s
Italians have been an intragyral part of American history since the founding of the
country and its exploration of the New World. Italian immigration surged from the
1870 s to the 1930 s due to few economic opportunities and political suppression in
Italy. Italy officially became a country in 1861 but before unification Italyconsisted of
small city states that were governed by small clans. Nationalization created a
disproportion of wealth from the industrialized north to the rural overcrowded
agricultural areas in the south. Over taxation by the Italian government made it hard
for rural southern Italians to own land or get ahead. Since the Civil war in the United
Statesleft a need for cheap labor, this was a perfect opportunity to many southern
Summary Of Killing The Rising Sun
Killing the Rising Sun by Bill O Reilly and Martin Dugard is a descriptive, well
written book wrapping up the end of World War II. Reading this book makes you
feel like you are living in the midst of the vividly depictive and picturesque scenes
that O Reilly and Dugard bring the reader back to imagine in this book. I really
enjoyed this book and I think it really helped me to capture what happened during
World War II and the hardships and trials that the United Stateswent through to defeat
Japan in one of the most decisive naval battles of World War II. I hope that in this

Taking place on the island of Peleliu, these men went through horrific things and
needed an incredible amount of physical and mental strength to push themselves to
fight. Throughout the book, there are many circumstances that seem to have
happened that the authors describe very vividly with specific details. Although
these scenes may be hard for the viewer to imagine actually happening, there is
such great description of the events that makes you want to keep reading more
about the things that these men went through during battle. The book describes men
committing suicide with their swords and chopping off heads and it can be hard to
imagine someone doing that. Personally, I really think you can gather a good
understanding that this war in the Pacific was one of the deadliest battles in history
from the examples from the book of things that were everyday events for these
people. There were more than forty million fallen men by the time the war was over
and the Japanese committed many abhorrent acts toward their prisoners. They would
deprive them of food, shelter, medical necessities, and many other vital resources
needed to survive a time like World War
The War Film Genre
The war film genre includes films about warfare, including naval, air or land battles.
Films in this genre may focus on the battles, prisoners of war, military training, life
during wartime or morality and humanitarian issues of warfare. This genre commonly
includes works of fiction, works based on historical facts and occasionally works
based on alternate history fiction. According to American Cinema/American Culture,
the genre also includes four narrativeelements: the suspension of morality during
times of war, the prioritization of collective goals over individual motivations, the
rivalry between men and their objectification of women and the issues of
reintegrating veterans. (Belton 165 71)
The 1986 Oscar winning film Platoon (Stone) is a classic example of this genre and
why it is so popular. As such, Platoon is a fictional work that follows Chris Taylor, a
young American who gives up college and volunteers for combat duty in Vietnam.
Following Taylor s tour of Vietnam, the film s main focus is not only his life during
the war, but also the mortality issues he must find a way to deal with. Furthermore,
Platoon includes all four of the narrative elements necessary to fit into this genre.
The first and third narrative elements, the suspension of morality during times of war
and the rivalry between men, even though demonstrated throughout the film, really
becomes prevalent when the platoon discovers a food and weapons cache in a
village. While searching this village,
A Journey Summary
A Journey is a short story written by Edith Wharton in 1899 as part of her collection
of short stories called The Greater Inclination. This short story is about a wife and
husband traveling from Colorado to New York. They travel in turmoil, due to the
husband being very sick. He consequently dies, leaving the wifeto reach New York on
her own, while at the same time, covering up the death of her husbandso she does not
get booted off the train. While on the train, the wife has several encounters with the
porter and passengers, in which she begins to falter and hesitate when talking to them.
In A Journey, Edith Wharton s use of tone and imagery revolving around the wife,
conveys the negative impact the death of a husband has on a womanto interact with
others in a calm manner.
One person the wife struggles to interact with in a calm manner is the porter
because through the tone and imagery revolving around the wife when talking to
the porter, it shows how the porter s presence causes her to struggle defending
herself. The first contact between the wife and porter occurs when the porter
begins checking up on the passengers to see if they needed any help. He ends up
startling her. The wife then looks at the porter helplessly, while his smile almost
corrupts her speech. The porter starts by saying, Are you very tired? followed by
the wife replying, No, not very. The porter then says, We ll be there soon now. The
wife responds with Yes, very soon. (Wharton 418).
Knights In The Middle Ages
In the middle ages being a knight was a great honor and it was also a great title. On
the other side of the social classes there were the peasants they had little to nothing,
anything they had was never that nice. They usually barely had enough food to live
on and linen scraps for clothes. As the knights had nice clothes and were treated
with respect they even dined with the king if they did something werth the kings
time. The king was usually nice to his knights but the knights were always

king they would be in a lot of trouble. The knights were never nice to the peasants
they would be very rude if they couldn t get the taxes from the peasants. This is the
A Brief Note On Legislative Branch And Executive Branch
Hi, my name is Legislative Branch. I was born in 1787, when my founders needed
to make a set of rules to govern the nation. My founders wanted to protect the
citizens, and prevent government abuse. They figured out a solution, divided up the
government, and wrote the Constitution. That s how I have two siblings, Judicial
Branch and Executive Branch. There needed to be a plan to divide the power. My
aunt Virginia had a plan. The plan was to divide the legislature into two houses. In
one house the people would elect the members for a three year term. The second
house would be made up of older members chosen by the state legislature for a seven
year term. With both of these houses, the population would depend on the seating. A

Then, there is my house, The Senate. This house in my favorite. In this house there
are two members from all fifty states, so there are one hundred members. The
members are chosen by state legislatures, and have six year terms. The Vice President
plays the role of President in the Senate when there is a tie while voting. The main
powers this house has it to accept President s appointments, and ratify treaties. There
were some very important people in my houses. Such as, Richard Bassett. Richard
served in the military during the Revolutionary War, and succeed as a lawyer and
planter. Richard attended the Constitution, but had no contact with anything.
Eventually Richard, the good man he was, hopped into the Senate house. He voted
for the power of the President to be able to remove governmental officers, and voted
against the federal belief of state debt. Bassett held the chief justiceship of the courts
of common pleas. Eventually he became the governor of Delaware, and retired. There
was another great man, but in the House of Representatives. His name is Jonathan
Dayton. Dayton served in the military, and spent most of his time on legal
speculation, and politics. He was chosen as a member to be at the Constitutional
Convention. After the Convention, Dayton became a Federalist legislator. Jonathan
became the Speaker of the House, in both, the Fourth and Fifth Congress. During his

Essay on Julie and May
Julie opened her eyes. Looking around herself with misty eyes, she found herself in
a ward. No one else was in the ward at that moment. The spacious ward was
enveloped in quietness. Julie felt her head heavy with dizziness, as if all the strength
had drained out of her body. Questions stacked in her brain: Why am I here? Why
am I here? Yet her intense headache prevented her from thinking hard. Despite her
listless condition, she attempted to sit up in bed, but immediately felt an excruciating
pain in her left leg. Subconsciously, Julie groped for her leg. She felt the rigid plaster,
and jerked her hands back instantly with a start. That was when the terrible memories
of the tragic night flashed through her mind.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

No sooner had they closed the door behind them, than Julie rebuked herself for
being so rude to her parents. Burying her head in the pillow, she wept
uncontrollably. Julie was a fifteen year old girl. She not only looked beautiful, but
was also famous in her school for being an athletic star in various sports events.
Aspiring to be a gymnast when she grew up, Julie joined the gymnasium team in
her school and had been elected the team captain for her excellent performance.
Now her dream was shattered by the unexpected car accident. She could not believe
the misfortune that had befallen her, although the physical and mental pain felt so
menacingly real. In the following days, Julie shut herself in her own resentment,
refusing to see anyone who came to the hospital to visit her. She resented being the
only victim of the mad car; she resented being unable to lead a normal life; she
resented being called the handicapped instead of the usual sports star ; she resented
the wheelchair, the medicine, the confinement of the ward with indifferent white
walls. Most of all, she resented being weak, for pride used to be her distinctive
characteristic. Life resumed its monotony. Julie had no choice but to stay in the
hospital all day long, accept painful physical therapy and control her diet. However,
the monotony did not last for more than one week, for another patient came to share
the same ward with Julie on the eighth
Examples Of Loss Of Innocence In Night By Elie Wiesel
Children have a reputation for being innocent and naive. This is mainly because
their experiences with the world are few and sheltered. As the children grow up
they are exposed to more and more of the unfiltered world. Some parents do
everything they can to keep their children from seeing that world. That is because
as they see more of the world they become less innocent. Normally adults are the
only ones who have truly lost their innocence. Unfortunately, there are exceptions, as
there are to every rule, and they are not good. Children who have lost their
innocence have had horrible things happen. Elie Wiesel writes in the novella Night
how he lost his innocence. Elie has suffered a loss of innocence because he is
desensitized, he has lost... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This kind of thoughts is not uncommon even today. There is a terrorism all around
and God has not stopped it. This to some is an unforgivable crime, and just like
that, they have lost their faith. Even some people on the other side can see things
like that. God has not stopped me so He must approve. Faith is something Elie had
when he was innocent, therefore a loss of faith mandates a loss of innocence.
Many people do not care what happens to others. That is a huge problem in society.
If people do not care about others, who is going to care for them. People expect
others to care so much about them and then not be expected to care in return. It is
a special kind of self absorption. However, someone not caring about what happens
to a person close to them is almost too horrible to conceive. In fact, I was thinking
about how to get farther away so I would not be hit myself. (52). This quote is bad
enough as it is. As the fact that the person being beaten is actually Elie s father,
someone he cares for deeply, it gets much, much worse. He goes as far to get angry
at his father for not knowing how to avoid Idek s, the kapo, bouts of madness.
People today, unfortunately, experience this as well. Sometimes it is worse though,
sometimes it is a person that someone is close to that is beating them. This is the
final and the clearest sign that the innocence of Elie has been
Spanish and French Monarchial Beliefs
The palace of Versailles was built by Louis XIV of France (1643 1715), and the
Escorial was built by Philip II of Spain (1556 1598). By examining the aerial and
frontal facades of these two palaces, it may be seen that there were many similarities
and differences between the two kings perception and practice of monarchy. Each
king set his own goals for his life, and concluded as to how a monarch ought to
behave. Both Louis XIV and Philip II had religious duties to pay attention to,
organized the distribution of power in their respective kingdoms, communicated with
other countries and entities through war and diplomacy, raised militaries, and made
plans for the expansion of their own beliefs, thoughts and practices. Aside from these

Louis XIV preferred to delegate power to new nobles, or affluent bourgeois who
had recently received their noble status from the king. The lords who were not
hereditary nobles had not yet had enough time to gain any actual power that could
be used in rebellion against the king. Philip II, however, did not diversify the
existing hierarchy of power, but embraced it. Upon the building of the Escorial,
many new Hidalgos were not created just to satisfy the needs of a larger
bureaucracy. In addition, the Roman Catholic church even went inside the walls of
the Escorial. This shows Philip II s embrace of the existing power of the Holy See.
Conversely, at the court of Versailles, Louis XIV did not make the church a
significant part of his chateau, therefore removing most of the internal persuasion
from the clergy. (Even if there was a large religious influence at Versailles, by the
Pragmatic Sanction of Bourges (1438), the В‘Galician church was politically
independent from the Holy See.) br br Louis XIV and Philip II had some similar
and some different methods for handling foreign affairs. Louis XIV deployed the
French army against many different peoples, being always at war or preparing for
war in order to keep peace at home, and war abroad. Philip II also deployed his
armies against various people, however, he did so in order to expand the boundaries
of Catholicism. Concerning diplomatic relations, Louis XIV was much more

The Sea Inside Movie Essay
Movie Review: The Sea Inside The Sea Inside is a powerful movie through the eyes
of a quadriplegic man named RamГіn Sampedro, who is a bedridden quadriplegic

Yes the oversale of lifetime partnerships should be classified as a subsequent event
because the audit report was dual dated August 31,1984 and October 24,1984.
Deloitte argued that the oversale occurred shortly after the May 31,1984 fiscal year

Yes. Deloitte should have evaluated the sales occurring after the balance sheet date

Central delivers much more than medical billing software. Albert Santalo founded
CareCloud on September 16, 2009. The company announced it raised $2.3 million in
funding in January 2010. Some advantages of the system are things like The
scheduling setup in the system allows for multiple columns within the schedule to
accommodate different physicians or locations. You can drag and drop appointments
into the schedule easily. The drag and drop system is becoming a more common, time
saving feature in this type of medical office management software because the front
office staff can quickly move around appointments when necessary. Staffs can color
code appointment types and quickly view patient insurance and account balance
information in pop up windows within the scheduling view. To remind patients of
their appointments, you can set up automatic reminders through your choice of text,
phone or email. Other software options usually limit the method of reminds to text or
just phone. Disadvantages of the software can be things such as the functions on the
system such as voice control whereas when the customer needs help the volume
should be correct. Also, the training can tend to be a little tense whereas certain
people may have a hard time understanding. CareCloud is working to ensure a

Challenges of the Automobile Industry of USA Essay
As we all know, automobile industry plays an important part in the economy of USA;
however, this industry is facing some environmental challenges. In this assignment, I
would like to discuss about the challenges that the automobile industry of USA is
struggling with. Specifically, there are four main challenges that will be looked into
details which are global competition, new technology, emission s effect on the
environment and the government s reaction, and the consumers opinion about the
products.
Firstly, the automobile industry of USA is facing an intense global competition.
Beside some American brands of automobiles such as Ford, General Motors (GM),
there are other foreign brands which are proving their positions in the automobile ...

As we can see, the automobile industry of USA is affected by the economic
depression in 2009, and there are more competitors trying to compete in the
automobile industry.
Secondly, what is the role of new technology in empowering the automobile
products? It is the fact that USA is one of the countries having the best technology
which is always updated for new innovation. Nowadays, the means of shopping is
not just going to the stores, looking at the catalogues and talking to the dealers.
Everything now can be done just by a click. All the big automobile companies have
their own official websites where customers can get the information about the
newest trends with all the detailed information. By this way, it can save customers
a great deal of time and they have more selection over a wide range of products.
That is the reason why there are more and more customers turning to online
shopping. According to a survey done by J.D. Power and Associates (2002), there
were 60% to 80% of customers went to the company website to search for
information before going to the store and take the test drive. Another good point
about the Internet is that new customers can look for the review from those who
already purchased the products to see if that product is worth its cost, as stated in the
same survey there is 60% of the buyers refer to the internet before making their
purchase (J.D. Power and Associates, 2002).

  • 4. Big Business And Conservation Activism The struggle between providing for California s burgeoning population and the corresponding increase pressure on California s ever shrinking pristine natural wonders and natural resources has been a constant clash between the forces of big business and conservation activism. However, the outcomes of these many battles have increasingly favored the side of economics over nature. The trend that becomes clear is that the will of the businessmen have been prevailing over the concerns of the conservationists more and more. What are the forces that are pushing the pendulum closer and closer towards the desires of industry? By examining the history of this conflict between these two factions, it will become clear how one has had progressively more of an advantage over the other. Today, the main reason that industry s goals almost always prevails over conservation s efforts is economics and what an advantage in economics can buys one politically. Economic interests will predominately have ever increasing priority over environmental interest as long as money is considered speech and corporations are people; therefore, the most pragmatic solution that would allot conservation groups with an equal voice in the political process with business is to call for an Article V Constitutional Convention to pass an amendment to permanently get money out of politics nationwide. During a time before money was protected as political speech, conservation groups had a somewhat even footing

The pause before your bladder contracts when you sense another person in the bathroom is a mild form of paruresis experienced in many individuals, however some suffer extreme forms to the extent that the only way they can successfully use a restroom is if they are alone. A single occupancy stall should be in correspondence to every gender exclusive restroom in order to grant protection towards everyone and ensure privacy. Some people argue that gender neutral bathrooms are safer because they permit men to accompany women while they use the restroom as if every woman has a man to accompany her at all times. These people have yet to experience the fear of relieving body waste in front of others. When Oprah Winfrey served on a Chicago jury, she couldn t go to the bathroom attached to the jury room because it was in public unless her fellow jurors sang to drown out the noise. One of the songs they sang was Kumbaya (Beck). A subsequential sound accompanied when urinating is not uncommon and a single stalled restroom would eliminate the need for discomfort while allowing those with paruresis or those who feel threatened being alone in private places to be at peace when using the facilities. UC Berkeley provides students and faculty with a list of single stall bathrooms for those who are at risk for discriminatory violence or prefer to use a more
  • 6. Resistance Of The Mutant Oncogenes Introduction One in five deaths today is a result of some form of cancer. This terrible disease stems from mutations in body cells, which interfere with the cells normal regulation of growth, division, and death. Cells can make occasional mistakes and divide too early or not destroy themselves at the right time (Alberts et al. 2014). The Hayflick limit, described in 1961 by Leonard Hayflick, states that normal human cells can divide for about 50 times (Watts 2011). In cancers, though, this limit does not exist, and cells continually divide. Occasional mistakes do not have tremendous consequences on large, multicellular organisms, however. When many cells begin to make these mistakes, though, tumorigenesis and cancer can occur. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Within melanocytes are melanosomes, organelles in which melanin production occurs. The melanosomes have 4 stages of maturity, starting with stage 1, or premelanosomes, and progressing to stage 4, or mature melanosomes. The stages can be determined based on the composition of the vesicles in the cells (Setaluri 2003). The mature melanosomes then branch off from the dendritic tips of the melanocytes and travel to keratinocytes, keratin producing cells (Seiberg 2001). The chemotherapy drug methotrexate is an alkaloid that has been used as a treatment for acute lymphocytic leukemia, non Hodgkin s lymphoma, osteosarcoma, choriocarcinoma, head and neck cancer, and breast cancer. Methotrexate is an antimetabolite that acts as a folic acid antagonist. Components of folate vitamins are required for DNA synthesis and cell replication, so by inhibiting folic acid and other folates, methotrexate slows the DNA synthesis and division of certain cancer cells, and impacts cell proliferation (Jolviet et al. 1983). The estimated half maximal effective concentration (EC50) for methotrexate was found to be 0.00339ОјM for human breast cancer MDA MB 231

Micro level political risk Micro level political risks are project specific risks. In addition to the macro political risks, companies have to pay attention to the industry and relative contribution of their firms to the local economy.[7] An examination of these types of political risks might look at how the local political climate in a given region may impact a business endeavor. Micropolitical risks are more in the favour of local businesses rather than international organizations operating in the nation. This type of risk process includes the project specific government review Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), the selection of dangerous local partners with political power, and expropriation/nationalization of projects and assets. • 15. The Contract Of Bail Case Historically, the contract of bail, traced to a gradual increase of faith in the honor of a being a legal hostage and the consequent relaxation of actual imprisonment, constitutes one of the first appearances of the concept of contract in our law. The early contract of bail differed from the modern bailbond in its mode of execution as it was simply a solemn admission of liability by the suretiesmade in the presence of an officer authorized to take it. No signatures of the bail were required, and it was not necessary for the person bailed to bind himself as a party. The undertaking to forfeit a sum in a written bail bond came later in the course of time. The purpose of a bail bond with sureties is to ensure that the accused will appear in court at a given time by requiring others to assume responsibility for him on penalty of forfeiture of their property. In times past, especially when the sureties were friends and relatives of the accused, it was assumed that due to his personal relationship the threat of forfeiture of the surety s property would serve as an effective deterrent to the accused s temptation to break the conditions of the bond by flight. On the other hand, it was assumed that this threat would also inspire the surety to keep close watch on the accused to prevent his flight. On a bail bond, the accused and the sureties are the obligors, the accused being the principal, and the government as the obliged. In the event the conditions of the bail bond are

The methodology describes the broad scheme or plan of the research and elaborates the tools of analysis. A methodology or a research design refers to approaches and research strategies, e.g. surveys; questionnaires etc. In a broader context methodology refers to a design whereby, the researcher selects data and analysis procedures to investigate a specific research problem (Cohen, Manion and Morrison; 2008). Research designs have been classified differently by different scholars. Some scholars (Bodgan Biklen, 1982) discuss research methods under two broad headings: qualitative and quantitative. Gay (1987) indicates that while naturalistic researcher prefer qualitative methods, such as participant observation and in depth interviewing, rationalistic researchers tend to use quantitative methodologies such as random selection of subjects and administration of standardized instruments. While qualitative studies focus on subjective information, such as feelings, experiences or opinions: data that cannot be scientifically quantified. Quantitative research is the opposite, shunning subjectivity in favor of objectivity. Quantitative research focuses on statistics and quantifiable information. The present research is both qualitative and quantitative in nature as it involves in depth analysis of the textbook content as well as questionnaire which has both open

A dystopia is a futuristic, imagined universe in which oppressive societal control and the illusion of a perfect society are maintained through corporate, bureaucratic, technological, moral, or totalitarian control. A more recent dystopia is the book or movie The Giver. The book starts out as what seems like a utopia where all pain, disease, and conflict have been abolished. The occurrence of churn customers is one of the crucial problems for the growth of a company, as it acquires higher costs. The task of churn predictionis to identify the customers who are pretending to shift from one company to another. As in the competitive environment, it becomes necessary to focus on retaining churn customers as well as attracting new customers. Various algorithms of Data Mining have been used for making distinguish between customers into loyal and churn, so that appropriate steps can be taken into consideration in order to retain the churn customers to the company as customers are more valuable to the survival and development of the company. There exists numerous reasons why the world has been able to progress so quickly in the last one hundred years than the few thousand years before. The main answer lies in the invention of the assembly line. Prior to the assembly line, production rate was dependent on the precision of specific parts for an item and a worker s ability to assemble the specific parts together. The assembly line eliminated the idea of a worker who must be trained to build every part of a machine or item. Instead, the assembly line focused more on small independent jobs for lesser trained employees. With the assembly line, an employee would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While the Model T was inexpensive, Ford didn t find his product to be as inexpensive as he wanted. Ford challenged himself to find a way to make his dream of supplying the whole nation with affordable cars a reality. Ford realized that he must change his methods of production in order to decrease the price of his automobiles. His invention of the assembly line actually started before the Model T came out, but Ford did not know it at the time. The Model N was built prior to the Model T. The workers on the Model N automobiles placed the parts in order along the floor while the under construction auto was on skids and moved down the line. The workers placed their respective parts on the machine as it passed by. For the Model T, Ford tried to make his process even better. He broke the assembly process into 84 small steps. On top of this, workers were trained for only one of the 84 steps. By having a machine that could make interchangeable parts faster than any human, the process accelerated quickly and there was no shortage on supplies. With the combination of the new parts machine, line of workers trained per step, and an order of parts, the assembly line was born. Figure 1 below shows the wheels and hubcaps of Model T cars being assembled using the assembly line. The excessive amounts

This example illustrates how the Gauss Newton method can applied to functions with more that just two variables, and that it can be applied to an equation of any form. In it, will attempt to model temperature data with a sinusoidal function. Below is a chart of the average high temperatures per month of the city of Monroe Louisiana (courtesy of weather.com). Month Temperature (Fahrenheit) January 56 February 60 March 69 April 77 May 84 June 90 July 94 August 94 September 88 October 79 November 68 December 58 As can be seen by the chart, this data appears to take the form of a sinusoidal function. Therefore, we will try to fit it with the general form of this function, shown below: y(t)=Aв€ —sin(wв€ —t+phi )+C A is the amplitude, w is the frequency, t is time, phi is the phase and C is a constant. Given this equation there are four unknowns that must be found. In the code, these four variables are represented by the column vector a and are returned in the column vector w. As always, the code requires that we first solve, analytically, for the partial derivatives required for the Jacobian. In this example, the function to be minimized, r, is given by: rk=qkв€’(a1в€ —sin(a2в€ —pk+a3)+a4) where rk is the residual at the particular temperature value, qk is the measured temperature and pk is the month, represented in the code as January = 1, February

The debt crisis, explained above, in several member states of the euro area has contributed in raising doubts about the viability of European Economic and Monetary Union(EMU) and the future of the euro. While the launch of the euro in 1999 created a considerable enthusiasm toward regional monetary integration and even monetary unification in different parts of the world, the present emergency had the inverse impact, actually raising desires of a separation of the euro region. So by then, the Government needed to speak to its fellow members of the European Union and IMF for bailout. The bailout, then again, failed to restore market trust in the Greek economy. In addition, it failed to end the contagion of the crisis to other nations of the euro area. He was pronounced as the greatest living composer by the time he was 50. Throughout his lifetime he had published 138 compositions and after his death there were over 200 more compositions published. This is an amazing feat as he had started suffering from hearing loss at the age of 26 and by the time he was around the age of 46, he became fully deaf. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This theme begins with a legato and lyrical style that contrasts the staccato style of the first theme. The violins are used as an accompaniment of the melodic exchange between the flute and the oboe. This exchange creates a back and forth movement between the two instruments. The melody begins with a rising fourth which is a link to the first theme. The accompaniment plays staccato arpeggios which gives a reminder of the last measure of the first theme. From measure 65, the use of syncopation previously heard measures 57 to 58 gives rhythmic drive through this section. The violins then take the lead and restate the theme with the flutes and oboes answering. Beethoven s use of diminished chords, in measure 65, and adding emphasis using sforzando adds more the dramatic nature of the passage. In measure 69, the strings have rising eighth notes with semitones. A few measures later the flutes and oboes double the violins rising eighth notes which again underlines the importance of the rising semitone. This last until measure 77 as the second theme returns to a soft ending as the lyrical phrases played by the violins, oboes, and flutes are now played by the cellos and double basses. The codetta, or closing, begins at measure 88 and lasts until measure 110. This section creates a conclusion by combining familiar elements from the first and second themes. In measures 94 to 99, the strings have tremolos which gives a sensation of the music being at fast rhythmic tempo and in measures 100 to 109 the woodwinds and horns have slurred phrases which resembles the lyrical phrases played in the second

  • 37. Advent Research Paper Advent is a season observed in many Western Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. The term is a version of the Latin word meaning coming . Latin adventus is the translation of the Greek word parousia, commonly used to refer to the Second Coming of Christ. For Christians, the season of Advent anticipates the coming of Christ from three different perspectives. Since the time of Bernard of Clairvaux(d.1153) Christians have spoken of the three comings of Christ: in the flesh in Bethlehem, in our hearts daily, and in glory at the end of time. Films in this genre may focus on the battles, prisoners of war, military training, life during wartime or morality and humanitarian issues of warfare. This genre commonly includes works of fiction, works based on historical facts and occasionally works based on alternate history fiction. According to American Cinema/American Culture, the genre also includes four narrativeelements: the suspension of morality during times of war, the prioritization of collective goals over individual motivations, the rivalry between men and their objectification of women and the issues of reintegrating veterans. While on the train, the wife has several encounters with the porter and passengers, in which she begins to falter and hesitate when talking to them. In A Journey, Edith Wharton s use of tone and imagery revolving around the wife, conveys the negative impact the death of a husband has on a womanto interact with others in a calm manner. One person the wife struggles to interact with in a calm manner is the porter because through the tone and imagery revolving around the wife when talking to the porter, it shows how the porter s presence causes her to struggle defending herself. The first contact between the wife and porter occurs when the porter begins checking up on the passengers to see if they needed any help. He ends up startling her. The wife then looks at the porter helplessly, while his smile almost corrupts her speech. The porter starts by saying, Are you very tired? followed by the wife replying, No, not very. The porter then says, We ll be there soon now. The wife responds with Yes, very soon. (Wharton 418).
