The study investigates the extraction of secondary metabolites from the roots of Acanthus ilicifolius L, highlighting their antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Various solvents extracted different metabolites, with acetone showing the highest antioxidant activity while benzene exhibited the least. The extracts displayed varying levels of antibacterial activity against several bacterial strains, with minimum inhibitory concentrations between 1 mg/100μl to 5 mg/100μl, indicating potential medicinal applications.
