2. The Designer
Berta Villanueva graduated in 2020 with a BA in Fashion
Design from the University of Westminster through IED
Barcelona, and an MA in Fashion Design from LCI Barcelo-
na She offers a contemporary take on femininity through
ready-to-wear and fiber arts, blending timeless romanticism
with a modern sensibility. Rooted in the belief that fashion
should be expressive, enduring, and accommodating to the
modern woman, she creates pieces meant to last. Each garment
is designed to be worn across seasons and reinterpreted over
time, empowering every wearer to express and play with their
individuality.

Collection Manifesto
As children, we were taught to chase professional success, but that
success only had one face. To be the best, stand out and go far. That
was the only valid path.
Sometimes that path takes a lifetime: landing the right job, climbing
the ladder, ticking every box. Sometimes we’re chasing a life we’ll
never achieve. But even then, something can feel missing. What if
this isn’t the only way? What if I’m not meant to be here?
The truth is every profession, every dream, can be achieved in infi-
nite ways. Yet most of those versions remain hidden, overshadowed
by what we’ve been told is successful. Letting go of that ideal can
feel like betrayal. But perhaps it’s not about giving up, it's about
redefining and not sacrificing yourself for that dream.
This collection is born from that awakening.
It explores the intersection of romanticism and modern structure
where victorian agressive undergarments are reimagined through
an office corporate lens. Inspired by the quiet complexity of mo-
dern day women in professional spaces, and what we’ve been told
about them through the movies, each garment is modular, expres-
sive, and emotionally resonant. Designed to be styled intuitively
and lived in, each piece carries its own story, inviting the wearer to
reshape ambition, and express individuality with strength.
