The FIFA World Cup is international soccer tournament held every four years. It is organized by FIFA and first took place in 1930 in Uruguay. Over the decades, the tournament has expanded from just a few teams to 32 national teams competing in the final tournament. Some notable awards given include the Golden Ball for best player, Golden Boot for top scorer, and Golden Glove for best goalkeeper. The World Cup trophy has also evolved in design over the years as the tournament has grown to become one of the most popular international sporting events.

GOLDEN BOOT AWARD The Golden Boot or Golden Shoe Award goes to the top goal scorer of the FIFA World Cup The first time this award was given in 1982 1ST Golden Boot winner was Paolo Rossi (Italy). He scored 6 Goals in this tournament. In 2018 FIFA World Cup Harry Kane (England) won this award. Besides Golden Boot Silver and Bronze Boots are awarded to the 2nd and 3rd top goal scorer player.
