it is belong?”
“Do you want to open this box?”
“Let’s count 1, 2, 3….” (Open the box. 3
balloons will come out and 1 will fly up.)
“What was the gift on the box?”
“Very good!”
“Where do you think does gifts and balloons
we usually see?”

“I have here a story about gifts and balloons.
A birthday party story.”
“Before I read the story, how do we listen to a
story?”
“Very good! Now let’s zip our mouth (Zip
Clap) open our ears.”
 “We keep quiet!”
 “We listen to the story, using our ears.”
 “We pay attention to the story.”
“Here’s the story entitled: ‘Preparing for the
Big Day!’”
Connie is a sweet little girl. Today is
Connie’sbirthday. So Connie’smother
decided to throw a party for the good
gradesConnie is showing in school. Her
mother let Connie decide whatto
prepare on her big day.
First, Connie picked 5 differentcolorsof
balloons. While she putthe balloons, 1
of the balloonspopped out!So there are
only 4 balloonsleft.
She also decorated it with flowers, 2
differentkindsof flowers. Butthe two
flowersare already withered. So she
decided to change it into a banderitas. 4
differentcolorsof banderitas, but
Connie don’twantthe color of black so
she just use the 3 colorsof banderitas.
Then Connie’smother baked 3 cakesto
serve on the party. But Connie loved the
cake so much so Connie ate 1 cake.
After everything is settled, Connie’s
friendscame in their house and they
gave 4 gifts, Connie say “Thank you” to
them.
Then they play differentgamesand
have fun!

popped out!”

your party hat.”
“But before that what are the things we need
to consider in doing a group activity?”
“Very good! I’ll give you 5 minutes to work
on.”
“These are the invitations where you’ll find
the activities.”
“Group 1 will be the SpongeBob group!”
(Subtract the following. Write how many
were left on the box.)
“Group 2 will be the Winnie the Pooh group!”
(Subtract the following. Encircle the correct
answer.)

“Group 3 will be the Mickey Mouse group!”
(Subtract the following. Put the balloons with
the correct answer on the box.)

“I bought three sandwiches, and I gave 2 of

my younger brother 3 cupcakes. How many
