Job Description A number of exciting and challenging roles are available in both
Group Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) teams.
These roles will be at the heart of supporting and delivering the
Department’s policy and finance objectives over the next
Spending Review Period.
As leading representative of the BIS finance function, you will
ensure accurate, up to date and robust information is held, and
that policy colleagues and partner organisations receive
credible advice and guidance.
You will need to be self-starting, flexible and proactive to
respond to complex and diverse financial management
challenges and to ensure an efficient and effective service to
policy Directorates, Central Finance and partner organisations.
Overview of roles:
Finance Business Partner
Working as part of one of the three Group Finance teams, you
will be the key strategic pivot between policy and the central
finance teams. You will be responsible for spotting, resolving
and supporting policy teams through spending and financial
management issues. You will manage key relationships across
the directorate, department and with HMT. You will be
technically proficient, have strong leadership teams and a
dedication to managing a quality service, to ensure that all our
stakeholders are kept informed, and are clear on our
requirements.
Financial Planning Manager
Working in Group or central Finance, you will provide a pivotal
role in, reporting, analysing and providing advice to senior
stakeholders on financial data. You will work closely with
finance business partners to provide support on strategically
important programmes including BIS2020.
Working Pattern These jobs are available for full-time, part-time or flexible
working arrangements (including Job Share arrangements).
Employment Terms: Post Type 5
Employment Terms: Hours 41 Gross London, 42 Gross National
