- 1. Flash Crash Issue in Google Chrome As most of you know Adobe Flash Player is a plug-in that enables viewing multimedia content. It’s a common experience that Flash crashes a lot, especially while watching a YouTube video. If you going through the same experience, you’ve come at the right place. Check for Internal Version of Flash The problem is that your computer has two versions of Flash Player installed, viz. internal and external version. The former comes with the browser. The latter is used for other browser which causes conflicts with the former. Check for the internal Flash version and disable it to prevent conflicts. For Windows 8.1/ 8 and Earlier Versions: 1. Open Chrome through its desktop shortcut. 2. Type “about:plugins” (delete the space in between) 3. Press ENTER. 4. A new page will open in a new tab showing list of all installed plug-ins. 5. You would find two versions of Flash listed in the page. 6. Simply disable the internal version, and then close and re-open the application program.
