This document presents information on Gigabit Fidelity (GI-FI) technology. It discusses the evolution of wireless technologies leading to GI-FI, how GI-FI works using time division duplexing for transmission and reception. GI-FI offers advantages over other technologies like high security, high speed data transfer, lower power consumption and small/cost-effective chips. The document concludes that GI-FI is poised to replace existing technologies but challenges remain around oxygen absorption rates, while development of GI-FI technology continues.
