TrustArc Webinar: Consumer Expectations vs Corporate Realities on Data Broker...TrustArc
Most consumers believe they’re making informed decisions about their personal data—adjusting privacy settings, blocking trackers, and opting out where they can. However, our new research reveals that while awareness is high, taking meaningful action is still lacking. On the corporate side, many organizations report strong policies for managing third-party data and consumer consent yet fall short when it comes to consistency, accountability and transparency.
This session will explore the research findings from TrustArc’s Privacy Pulse Survey, examining consumer attitudes toward personal data collection and practical suggestions for corporate practices around purchasing third-party data.
Attendees will learn:
- Consumer awareness around data brokers and what consumers are doing to limit data collection
- How businesses assess third-party vendors and their consent management operations
- Where business preparedness needs improvement
- What these trends mean for the future of privacy governance and public trust
This discussion is essential for privacy, risk, and compliance professionals who want to ground their strategies in current data and prepare for what’s next in the privacy landscape.

Increasing Retail Store Efficiency How can Planograms Save Time and Money.pptxAnoop Ashok
In today's fast-paced retail environment, efficiency is key. Every minute counts, and every penny matters. One tool that can significantly boost your store's efficiency is a well-executed planogram. These visual merchandising blueprints not only enhance store layouts but also save time and money in the process.
Artificial Intelligence is providing benefits in many areas of work within the heritage sector, from image analysis, to ideas generation, and new research tools. However, it is more critical than ever for people, with analogue intelligence, to ensure the integrity and ethical use of AI. Including real people can improve the use of AI by identifying potential biases, cross-checking results, refining workflows, and providing contextual relevance to AI-driven results.
News about the impact of AI often paints a rosy picture. In practice, there are many potential pitfalls. This presentation discusses these issues and looks at the role of analogue intelligence and analogue interfaces in providing the best results to our audiences. How do we deal with factually incorrect results? How do we get content generated that better reflects the diversity of our communities? What roles are there for physical, in-person experiences in the digital world?
DevOpsDays Atlanta 2025 - Building 10x Development Organizations.pptxJustin Reock
Building 10x Organizations with Modern Productivity Metrics
10x developers may be a myth, but 10x organizations are very real, as proven by the influential study performed in the 1980s, ‘The Coding War Games.’
Right now, here in early 2025, we seem to be experiencing YAPP (Yet Another Productivity Philosophy), and that philosophy is converging on developer experience. It seems that with every new method we invent for the delivery of products, whether physical or virtual, we reinvent productivity philosophies to go alongside them.
But which of these approaches actually work? DORA? SPACE? DevEx? What should we invest in and create urgency behind today, so that we don’t find ourselves having the same discussion again in a decade?

Many users know that you can press Alt +Tab to switch
among running apps. In Windows 10, we added a

To ask Cortana a question:
Click the circle to the right of the Start button.
Note: To get the most out of Cortana, you must be signed in with
your Microsoft account (such as Hotmail, Outlook, or Windows

Cortana is your personal digital assistant in Windows 10. She’s always at the ready, bringing you exactly what you
need without disturbing the conversation.
Cortana gets to know you over time, using your search information to help you get things done and becoming more
useful every day.
Microsoft IT Showcase microsoft.com/itshowcase
20. What can Cortana do?
Some things you can say to Cortana include:
• When is the next Seahawks game?
• What is the weather forecast for Portland on Friday?
• What is the current Microsoft stock price?
• Remind me to go for a walk in 30 minutes.
• Tell me a joke.
• Sing me a song.
Cortana can search the web, find things on your PC, show you the local news
and weather, and provide reminders based on time or location.
Cortana even adapts her behavior to your device, using your Microsoft account
to help you out across all your Windows 10 devices. When you’re on your
phone, interaction will generally be brief. And when you’re on your PC, Cortana
can help deliver steady periods of productivity. Of course, you’re always in
control of what she knows and what she manages on your behalf.

Microsoft IT Showcase microsoft.com/itshowcase
22. Places
Cortana can keep track of places that are important to you, such
as your home address, where you work, and the location of your
child’s daycare center. She can also use that information to help
you out, such as by showing you the traffic for your commute or
reminding you to water the plants when you get home.
You can use the Notebook to tell Cortana about your interests, favorite places, investments, the types of food you like,
and more.
Reminders
To help you out, Cortana can provide three types of reminders—
exactly when you need them:
• Time-based, such as a reminder to leave work at 4 P.M. on
Thursday because you have an appointment.
• Place-based, such as a reminder to get milk the next time you
go to the grocery store.
• Person-based, such as a reminder to let your spouse know
that you need to work late when he or she calls.

still keep it in the Notebook).
— OR —

You can make your own changes in Cortana’s Notebook. Cortana respects your privacy and preferences, so she never
adds anything to the Notebook without your explicit consent.
To add new items to Cortana’s Notebook:
1. When viewing the Notebook,
select the category you want.
Depending on the type of item
you’re trying to add, Cortana
may require additional information
—for example, the specific city for
which you’d like to see the weather.
Just enter enough to get Cortana
started, and then follow her lead.

2. Turn off Real-time protection
To turn Windows Firewall on or off:
1. Enter firewall in the search box.
2. Select Windows Firewall > Turn Windows Firewall on or
off.
Note: If your PC is connected to a network, you might not be
able to change your Windows Firewall settings, because of
network policies. Contact your administrator for more information.
Windows 10 is safer and more secure, thanks to Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. When you start Windows
10 for the first time, they are both on and working to protect your PC by scanning for malicious software. There may be
situations in which you need to turn off Windows Defender or Windows Firewall temporarily, such as while installing
certain applications or software updates. However, be sure to check with your network administrator before doing so.
Windows Defender uses real-time protection to scan
everything you download or run on your PC. It turns
itself off if you install another antivirus app.
Windows Firewall filters information coming into your
PC from the Internet, blocking potentially harmful
programs such as worms.

address them at times of your choosing.
• Links for performing quick actions, such as turning Wi-Fi on

Windows 8.1 enabled you to see notifications from apps, which appeared as “toasts” above the notification tray at the
lower right of the screen. However, after a notification timed out, it was lost forever. Windows 10 remedies this with its
new action center, which is similar to the notification center that was introduced in Windows Phone 8.1.
