This document provides instructions for creating an advance shipment notice (ASN) using supplier 'Allied Manufacturing' in three steps: (1) select the purchase order on the 'Shipments' tab and add it to a new shipment notice, (2) enter shipment line details and header information like the ASN number, and (3) submit the ASN and then process the receipt using the ASN number entered on the 'Receipts' tab.

- 1. Create PO with ASN : Use supplier ‘Allied Manufacturing’ for testing…. Switch Responsibility to Isupplier : Go to Shipments Tab -> Shipment Notices:
- 2. Click on ‘Shipment Notices’, click on the ‘Create Advance Shipment Notices’: Select View as ‘Shipments Due Any Time’ and click on ‘Go’ ,you will see all the POs created select your PO from the list and click on ‘Add to Shipment Notice’: Enter the required information in the Shipment lines Tab :
- 3. Click on the tab for Shipment header and enter the ASN Number and other required information and submit the ASN: After the confirmation,run the Receiving transaction processor from applications: Go to Purchasing,Vision Operations (USA) responsibility,Click on View->Requests
- 4. Click on ‘Submit a New Request’:
- 5. Once the request is completed without any errors, go to Receiving->Receipts and enter the ASN created:
