INAT Suggestions: Meeting or Forum Learn and share in forum or meeting among people in each religion Collect the experience from people who are applying religion; they may not know about SALT Exploring the techniques the people use We can use the SALT Lens to analyze Share and summarize experiences from various religions in a panel discussion
- 4. IAC 2010 Abstract: Learning Objectives Participants discover and understand their spiritual strengths, develop skills to sustain spirituality at its highest competence, so that the impact of Life´s adversities, including HIV can be mitigated.
- 5. IAC Learning Objectives – contd. 2) Uniting those whose religion is inspiring their daily life, and those who while not belonging to any religious community seek a spiritual dimension to life.
- 6. IAC 2010 Format: Part - 1 Through a Focus Group Discussion, Facilitators, each from a major religion, present to their respective faith groups the ´Grounding of the Competence or S upport, A ppreciate, L earn, and T ransfer (SALT) approach in their individual faiths.
- 7. 2010 Format: Part-I contd. Each group share references, concordances, and parallels between the faiths, which strengthen the SALT approach, and thereby help to cope with the trials in Life.
- 8. IAC 2010 Format: Part -2 In a panel discussion session, Facilitators from the main faiths present the principles, philosophies, experiences, examples, and learning from the group discussion on mitigating the adversities in life.
- 9. IAC 2010 Format: Part-3 To conclude the main facilitator (JLL), shares the common understanding on how to offer SALT as common way for all people to further explore the spiritual dimension of their lives.
- 10. IAC 2010: Materials Internet facility for cross-reference and online search for concordance among the scriptures of all major religions. Materials used from various faiths will focus on the concordance with spirituality so that all participants have better understanding of the spiritual dimensions of SALT.
- 11. Grounding Process: a) Second Quarter 2010: I) The Thai interfaith group on AIDS produces a first draft output (Annex 1)
- 12. Third Quarter 2010: i) Together with other interested organizations, the Constellation hosts a Learning Festival linking the Thai group with other coaches and facilitators. Four writers participate and produce an outline in four languages (Annex 2) ii) A global Interfaith group on SALT shares results at the AIDS Conference in Vienna (Annex 3)
- 13. Fourth Quarter 2010 A support team supports the process and facilitates further interfaith exploration of SALT based on practice (Annex 4) Writers produce the final output in Thai, English, French, Spanish (Annex 5)
