Industry: Financial Services
Objectives:
1. Simplify deployment of complex, composite applications
2. Provide container platform for application development
3. Provide a platform for innovation using AI
4. Application benchmarking
5. Provide access to multiple compute architectures (x86, POWER and Z)
Solution: Using “as is” POWER and Z infrastructure, employed IBM Cloud Private with mixed
x86, POWER and Z worker nodes, leveraging CAM as a mechanism to orchestrate the complex
workflows across platforms—spanning virtual machine and container-based resources.
Deployed Watson Machine Learning Accelerator (formerly PowerAI) for an AI platform.
Environment consisted of x86 and VMware, PowerVM with AIX and Oracle and several
homegrown applications as well as IBM Z—all integrated within IBM Cloud Private.

Customer 2: Travel and Transportation
Industry: Travel and Transportation
Problem: Current technology is unable to support strategic goals of “compute on
the edge” to improve the overall guest experience—ultimately geared to capture
new clientele and grow revenue opportunity.
Solution: At each endpoint, employ a turnkey solution comprised of IBM Cloud
Private paired with IBM Hyperconverged Systems powered by Nutanix to create a
multicloud-enabled edge compute platform that can run today’s enterprise
applications as well as tomorrow’s innovative cloud-native solutions, advanced
video analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
