This paper addresses the problem of identity-based spoofing attacks in wireless networks and proposes a new detection method utilizing spatial information rather than traditional cryptographic measures. The authors develop a system called GADE for attack detection and a method for localizing multiple attackers using received signal strength (RSS) data, achieving over 90% accuracy in their experiments. The proposed solutions highlight the importance of using physical properties inherent to wireless nodes, which are difficult to falsify, to mitigate the impact of spoofing attacks.
