The study examines the effects of the 2014/2015 drought on local food supply chains in São Paulo, Brazil, revealing that while managers recognize the impacts, they often neglect to integrate these risks into their management strategies. Through qualitative interviews, the research highlights a lack of preparedness despite experiences with the disaster, underscoring the need for improved risk management practices. The findings contribute to understanding how natural disasters influence supply chains and emphasize the importance of educating stakeholders on climate change adaptation.
