This document evaluates the performance of two routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs): Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Cluster-Based Routing Protocol (CBRP). It finds that CBRP generally outperforms DSR, especially in high mobility scenarios, as it scales better with an increasing number of nodes. The study emphasizes the importance of clustering for improving network scalability while also noting the overhead and bandwidth consumption challenges that clustering introduces.
