This study investigates the impact of mothers' involvement in household decision-making on the nutritional status of children under five in northern Ghana. Using data from a USAID baseline survey, it finds that maternal participation significantly influences children's weight-for-age, height-for-age, and weight-for-height, with alarming malnutrition rates persisting in the region. The authors recommend empowering mothers to enhance their decision-making power as a strategy to improve child nutrition and reduce malnutrition prevalence.
