5E INQUIRY MODEL
The 5E Inquiry Model is a teaching
framework used to guide students through
the inquiry-based learning process. The
model is designed to engage students in
active learning and to promote the
development of critical thinking skills.

ENGAGE
The Engage stage is designed to stimulate
students' curiosity and interest in the topic. It
involves creating a connection between prior
knowledge and the new topic. This stage
includes a variety of activities such as group
discussions, demonstrations, or hands-on
experiences.
EXPLORE
EXPLORE
In the Explore stage, students are
encouraged to investigate the topic further
through hands-on experiences,
experiments, and other interactive
activities. Students discover concepts and
ideas for themselves and develop their own
understanding and ideas.
EXPLAIN
EXPLAIN
In the Explain stage, students are given the
opportunity to share their findings and ideas
with others. They can present their work
through group discussions, presentations, or
written reports. Students develop their
communication skills and clarify their
understanding of the topic.
ELABORATE
ELABORATE
The Elaborate stage provides students with
additional opportunities to deepen their
understanding of the topic. This can include
extension activities, further research, or
application of the concepts learned to new
situations.
EVALUATE
EVALUATE
The Evaluate stage involves assessing
students' learning and understanding of the
topic. This can be done through a variety of
methods such as quizzes, tests, or project-
based assessments. Feedback is provided
to both the teacher and the student on the
effectiveness of the learning process.
