This paper presents a comparative analysis of routing protocols and cluster head selection techniques in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs), emphasizing the significance of dynamic clusters for improved network performance. It proposes a Dynamic Trust Evaluation of Cluster Head (DTE-CH) technique, which selects cluster heads based on trust values, to enhance throughput, packet delivery ratio, and reduce routing overhead compared to traditional AODV and highest degree clustering techniques. The study also discusses various clustering algorithms and routing protocols such as DSDV, AODV, and DSR, highlighting their functionalities and limitations.
