Get ready for interview
Job interview is the most important step in your job search journey. This is the
best chance to show how you qualify for the job.
• Review the job description
• Thoroughly researching the company
• Decide what you will wear
• Plan your journey to the interview
• Prepare for questions you will be asked
• Prepare your questions for the
employer
• Following up with the employer
DO’s
*Dress up smartly
*Make eye contact, and begin
with a strong handshake.
*Sit still, with your feet firmly
on the ground. Help you maintain
your posture and avoid fidgeting.
*Remember your CV details.
Particularly you're interviewing
for.
*Make a note of your questions.
Bring a note-pad if you feel you
might forget important points.
*Show case your talent
Don'ts
*Don’t get late to the interview.
*Do not dress sloppily or
inappropriately.
* A strict no to smoking
* No need to volunteer your
shortfalls unless asked
directly.
*Don’t criticise your current or
previous employer as it will
give false impression.

Steps to make a Resume
• Your resume gives you the opportunity to tailor your career story to a
specific role or company. The steps are:
• Pick a right format
• Start with your basic information
• Add in your work experience
• Consider including volunteer work and other
experience.
• Your education
• List out your skills and interest
• Tailor it to the JOB
• Edit & Refine your resume before sending it.

• DO’s
• Tailor your resume with the current
position.
• Customize your resume to match
the job description.
• Keep a consistent and easy
readable format
• In each section ,list the things in
reverse chronological order
• Qualify and quantify your
experience include number &
percentage
• Highlight special accomplishment
• Expand on professional ,
volunteer, classroom experiences
to show transferable skills
• Don’ts
• use table or templates
• Make general claims without
backing them with examples
• Mislead employers about your
GPA, skills, or abilities.
• Include long, generic objective
statements. Employers won’t read
them!
• Submit references on the same
page as your resume. They
should be kept in a separate
document and provided when the
employer asks for them.
• Don’t go over two pages, but this
will depend on the amount of
experience you have.
• Apply to multiple positions that
match your career interests.
