This document presents a study on joint routing and congestion control in wireless mobile networks, focusing on improving performance through a cross-layer scheme that incorporates signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) as a crucial metric in Rician and Rayleigh multipath fading environments. The proposed model, called routing and congestion control TCP based on SNR (rtcp-snr), shows improved throughput compared to conventional routing-TCP methods. The paper further discusses the impact of wireless channel conditions on TCP performance and emphasizes the need for reliable routing protocols and congestion control adaptations in dynamic settings.
