Morphology
• Climbing or scrambling shrub with terete
branches , the young shoots and branches are
pendulous
• Leaves are glabrous, broadly ovate or obovate,
acuminate or acute .
• Flowers – Unisexual, yellowish green, borne in
terminal pendulous panicles
• Fruit- Globose capsule, three walled, three
celled , 3-6 seeded

Morphology
• An erect branched annual herb with
quadrangular branches.
• Leaves- Simple, lanceolate,acute at both
ends,glabrous, main nerves 4-6 pairs
• Small flowers,pale but blotched and spotted with
brown and purple distant in lax spreading axillary
and terminal racemes or panicles .
• Calyx lobes glandular pubescent, anthers bearded
at the base
• Fruits ; Linear capsules , acute at both ends ,
numerous seeds yellowish brown , subquadrate

Morphology
• A small tree about 10mtrs height with grey or
pale rough brown bark with irregular fissures.
• Leaves alternate , longer than broad,three ribbed
at the base , ovate or ovate lanceolate , red
glandular beneath, the transverse nervules
prominent
• Flowers – dioecious, small spikes
• Fruits- Globose , three lobed capsules covered
with dense reddish brown glandular hairs
• Seeds- Black, smooth , subglobose

Morphology
• A medium sized erect and deciduos tree with
grey bark and longitudinal cracks
• Wood – Moderately hard, greyish brown
• Leaves- Unifoliate, bilobed , rigidly subcoriaceous
, deeply cordate .
• Flowers – Purple or variously coloured , sessile or
borne in short peduncled corymbs Calyx tube is
elongated
• Fruit: Pod . Flat, hard , long, curved, compressed,
dehiscent , seeds 10-15
