I believe that these five are the most important starting with number one as being the signing of the
Declaration of Independence. This document declared that the American colonists would be

Revolutionary War, the British treated the colonists badly. They would tax them on everything, not
allow them to be represented in the British government, known as Parliament, and many other

Enchantress , Robert Hughes described how he was first introduced to Barcelona and its rich
culture. He painted a very compelling picture of a city I now can t wait to visit one day. He began
by introducing some Barcelonan sites he visited such as, the Sagrada FamГlia designed by GaudГ,
the Pyreness mountain range, and his friend Xavier CorberГі s house, Can Cargol, located in
EsplugГјes de Llobregat in Southern Barcelona. I found it fascinating that winding catacombs had
been dug underneath Can Cargol for storage and possibly defense in the Roman times (Hughes

labyrinth of a snail shell (Hughes 2004: 5) which would explain how it got its Catalan name in
which translates to house of the snail. He described his experiences in the cave and one particular

we see that India s foreign corporate tax rate affects its FDI negatively. The time period we will
be looking at will be from 1997 2013, due to the limited data available. Furthermore, I will explore
some policy improvements which may increase FDI in India.

FDI is defined as cross border investment by a resident entity in one economy with the objective of
obtaining a lasting interest in an enterprise resident in another economy. The lasting interest implies
the existence of a long term relationship between the direct investor and the enterprise and a
significant degree of influence by the direct investor on the management of the enterprise.
Ownership of at least 10% of the voting power, representing the influence by the investor, is the

As a teacher, our responsibility is to plan effective lessons for our students to learn from. Although,
the hardest part of being a teacher is grasping the student s motivation to learn. Therefore, the
educational philosophers Borich and Wong have different approaches to make us effective teachers
motivate our students to learn new and exciting teachings. These different methods may include a
wide range of how teachers run their classrooms, or what specific standards are being targeted, and
maybe even how effective their planning techniques are. Not to mention, students may also expect
positive expectations from the teacher and ways to help them succeed. On the other note, inviting
students to learn may be easier than thought, in which may result in positive student behavior. Thus,
my opinion of what Borich and Wong have to say about student learningis very beneficial to me so,
that one day I may use their techniques in my very own classroom.
