Leizaran and Plaiaundi Ecological Park

- 4. Leizaran, is a river. It measures 124,02 kilometers. It starts in Leiza and finishes at Elduain. Leizaran it isn´t only a river. In Leiza also there is a valley feed by the water of the river. It measures approximately 69´72 kilometers.
- 5. The temperature during all the year is 11’4 Celsius degrees . It´s normally cloudy and rainy, but in summer and sometimes in spring, autumn and winter the sun appears in Leizaran.

- 7. Reptiles: Iberian lizards and Pyrenean tritons. Birds of prey:the harrier, the goshawk... Some smaller birds: the kingfishers, the warblers... Small mammals: the rabbit, the hare... Fishes: the trout, the minnow...
- 8. There are lots of trees surrounding this river, and there are some little towns too.
- 11. PLAIAUNDI IS A SMALL BEACH, WITH 24 HECTARES OF EXTENSION. IT IS LOCATED IN THE BAY OF TXINGUDI, IN GIPUZKOA. IT IS BETWEEN THE BIDASOA RIVER AND THE JAIZUBIA RIVER.
- 12. THERE ARE LOTS OF TREES AND PLANTS, BUT THE MOST OF THE PARK IS WATER. THE CLIMATE IS CLOUDY, AND SOMETIMES IT RAINS A LITTLE BIT. IN THE LAGOONS INHABIT SOME SPECIES OF SEAWEEDS LIKE THE OVAS, GREEN SEAWEED AND SOME OTHER PLANTS LIKE THE GRAMA OF WATER.
- 13. The natural park has a lot of types of birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals and insects. Birds: little grebe, European Shag, Common kingfisher… Amphibians: the most common is the green frog. Mammals are the less frequent in these area.
